No latency for HDMI passing through the box, making gaming through the box smooth and flawless. Cons: Failed to function out of the box. The HDMI passthrough worked well, but the optical output flatly refuses to work. The three position switch allows a few options, but changing the options while powered causes the box to reset, leaving the screen blank for a 5-10 seconds while the unit reboots into the new configuration. I bought the box to take the output from an HDMI receiver and output optical to my Turtle Beach EarForce X41 wireless headphones, and the box fails to perform this function. Other Thoughts: Good price; if I can get it replaced and it functions it will be exactly what I was looking for. However, the hassle isn't worth the savings. Did you find this review helpful?
