Great DVI Dual Link extension
Pros: This cable seems to be made of high quality materials. I needed to get something with gold contacts as the cable its being attached too has them as well(a tech I knew a long time ago explained that its bad to mix match metals because they can generate electrical charge and interference). I did some research prior to getting this because I was adding it to a 12' cable creating about 27' of dual link signal. According to some sites dual link should not go beyond 15'-20', but they explain that the voltages of the graphics card can greatly affect the potential. I'm connecting to an Asus 27" 3d monitor running 3d 1080p @ 120hz. It all works fine. The family is happy we can have the tv in one part of the living room and the monitor close to the couch for gaming. At the moment I'm using aPNY 560ti (384 not 448) in SLI to send the signal, but waiting for an EVGA SC GTX780 coming in the mail.
Cons: My only complaint relates to the female end of the cable. It has screws like the male side. This means when you plug in your primary DVI cable into this they can't be tightened together. This seemed a little odd since I'm not sure what else you would try to attach to this. I probably have something I can replace the screws with from one of my old VGA extenders, but it is a little strange.
Other Thoughts: All and all, I'm still happy with this purchase. We have a unique living room situation with a high end HTPC that is located quite a distance from where the monitor is. The price is good and the cable is nice quality.
