5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says

Pros: Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Very affordable.

Cons: Nothing that I have experienced.

Other Thoughts: I would only trust running two fans at 12V. Or 1 @ 12V and 2 @ 5V.

4 out of 5 eggsWell made but not quite what I wanted

Pros: Well made, only if it did what I wanted. This is two 12v and two 5v but I wanted four 7v connection. Fortunately, it's not hard to change the configuration without ending up with a kludge.

Cons: This would be better if it was configured as four 7v connections.

Other Thoughts: Fortunately, this is not hard to 7v given that you have a molex pin extractor, two spares and crimp tool. The standard method of creating the 7v connection is by connecting the positive fan leads to 12v molex pin and the negative fan lead to 5v. The difference voltage is 7v at which most fans will operate and also be more quiet.

3 out of 5 eggsBe Careful

Pros: Works good as a splitter

Cons: Speed reduction may be problematic

Other Thoughts: There could be something wrong with this adapter. Tthe 5V speed reduction connectors may not do quite what they should. I couldn't find any problem with the wiring, but when I hooked up my 12V LED fans to them the LEDs were brighter and the fans ran much faster than on the 12V connectors or directly connected to the motherboard or power supply.

I had to immediately shut down the PC to avoid the wires shorting and the fans burning out from the strain of running higher than their rating. Judging by the noise output I would say that they were running at 130-150% the normal speed of 2000RPM, and it would've been about 800RPM if it had been a proper 5V modification (as I have done these many times before). Plus with LED fans you always know if it is working correctly or not as the LEDs will dim accordingly to the voltage reduction, not get brighter.

It is almost as if it was somehow able to draw more current from the 5V connectors than through the 12V connectors. Which doesn't make any sense, but was definitely happening. I've never seen this before.

I was in disbelief until I saw a similar review on here ...

1 out of 5 eggswatch for the smoke

Pros: 4 fan connections on a single Molex, with voltage variability

Cons: Could not manage to run two 12v 60mm fans at 5v at the same time. Saw smoke as this adapter shuddered to keep the fans running and the wires got quite hot in a matter of seconds

Other Thoughts: Will use this only under duress in the future but will most likely throw it away. Get yourself a real fan controller.

5 out of 5 eggsAs Expected

Pros: Worked as expected

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: Just a fan adapter I bought to split power to several small fans. Does the job just fine.

4 out of 5 eggstwo 12v two 5v

Pros: Runs two fans at 12 volts and two fans at 5 volts.
allows loud fans on 5v system to be a lot quieter.

Cons: some fans do not run on the "slow" setting the 5v setting

Other Thoughts: ended up buying the 5 by 4 pin connector from evercool.

5 out of 5 eggsUsed for testing

Pros: Cheep and good quality.

Cons: Will not cure a Hangover.

Other Thoughts: I used this for load testing a DIY fan speed controller. Was what I wanted and expected.

5 out of 5 eggsMoar Fans

Pros: Allows more fans

Cons: Must be arranged sensibly

Other Thoughts: I have a mid-size case and I'm running out of room in my rats'-nest of wiring in there. I was nice to be able to give my rig more precisely-controlled airflow.
