5 out of 5 eggsworked fine for me

Pros: Worked no problem, and the price was low.

Cons: Cord is a bit short for my setup. Keep that in mind.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Price. Hard to Beat!

Pros: - Cheap price
- Good transfer rates (compared to my USB 2.0 adapter)

Cons: The cord could be a little longer, as my eSata card is on the back of a desktop.

Other Thoughts: I thought this would work with my 3.5" drives but it does not. It is listed that this supports 2.5" HDD and SSD drives. This was my mistake in overlooking. Still, a great adapter for my eSata card when backing up or repairing client's hard drives.

5 out of 5 eggsvery handy

Pros: Works as advertised, inexpensive, compact

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I use it with SSD drives. Not many machines have eSATA ports now but when they do this is much better than some USB to SATA adapter.

5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: Works great. It can be used with any eSATA port as long as you have a regular USB port available for power.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I use this daily to carry my SSD between home and work. I have Ubuntu installed on it. I can carry my whole work environment on the SSD and use this cable at home.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Fits any SATA drive
- Arrived quicky

Cons: - However, it will not fit Seagate External Harddrive from Seagate GoFlex , which have exposed SATA connectors.

Other Thoughts: I'll get some use out of the drive for cloning drives. However, I cant use it with Seagate GoFlex drive.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great, once you know how to use it

Pros: Works as expected, once you know how it works.

Cons: No clear instructions included

Other Thoughts: For this cable to work, I had plug in BOTH the USB and eSATA. Apparently the USB is for power only, and the eSATA for data only. Just plugging in 1 of the 2 plugs won't do anything. It took me some time to figure that out.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked well for me

Pros: I was looking for a cable that would allow me to connect an external hard drive to my Toshiba L655D laptop, and this cable was perfect for the job. The SATA connector fit the external Toshiba hard drive perfectly, although I did not try it on other drives so there may be issues with other manufacturers drives.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Toshiba does not provide +5V power on their laptop eSATA/USB Combo Port so you need to have this cable to get the power from the USB port to operate an external 2 1/2" hard drive. This cable would not work on an external 3 1/2" drive because it would also need +12V and that voltage is not available from either the USB or eSATA port.

4 out of 5 eggsWut limitedorks well, b

Pros: I wanted this to power an internal DVD drive that I am using externally on a server. It turns out that the drive requires 12v-not available via USB. This works just fine using an internal HDD externally.

Cons: None.

3 out of 5 eggsdidn't fit on my device, might fit on yours

Pros: Length is what I'd wanted.
USB power + eSATA is needed.
Only cord of this type I could find.

Cons: The actual powered SATA end of cord will not fit into my external HD. Right connection, too stubby/not long enough to get in there. Clips edges of externals casing of HD. Hopefully that makes sense.

Other Thoughts: Device is Seagate GoFlex portable HD (1TB)
Seagate no longer seems to sell eSATA proprietary connector...so I bought this in hopes to connect to eSATA port on PC

If it fit properly and works properly I'd probably give a 5.

Don't know whether I should send it back or just try to jerry-rig it by trimming down plastic edges of end of cord to make it fit.(Not worth much anyway)
