Pros: Nice looking little unit. Appears to be well engineered from its physical appearance.

Cons: I didn't have any luck with these. I say these because I bought 2 and they both performed very similarly which was apparently when they wanted. My experience was a bit frustrating. Perhaps my Nvidia set up was the issue but I was unable to get consistent use from the converter.

Other Thoughts: I had great luck with Visiontek - I think they nailed it

2 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised - for a while

Pros: Works as advertised. Provides sound to the HDMI output (from the displayport) as well.

Cons: Intermittent issues. Have to disconnect from laptop and then reconnect to work properly.

Other Thoughts: Using with a Dell Precision M4600 to drive a 4K HDMI screen (the build in HDMI can not drive 4K... go figure). Plugged this into the display port connector on the side, and immediately the computer switched to the full 4K resolution. It will also output the sound to the TV via the displayport adaptor. That was a nice surprise.
Note: I'm only using it at 30 Hz, as my screen can not go any faster (Seiki 39" TV). But for my usage that is perfect.
This adapter will switch to higher refresh rates when you lower the resolution (for example 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz).

Update Jan 30 - 2016: Adapter showing issues when coming out of standby. Had to switch to a different one (Accell) to eliminate this issue. So can't promote this converter.

Pros: Probably would work with 4k ultra hd.

Cons: Does not work with HDMI 2.0 will NOT do anything but 30hz refresh. If you do not have a 4k monitor/tv do not buy this as it DOES NOT work

Other Thoughts: it is an incredible irritation that this thing does not do 60hz, it does not do both. should be clearly written in product description.
