Pros: Got two computers that don't have front usb 3 ports. Although there are some in the rear its kind of a pain to reach behind the pc's to get to them. Often got to blindy feel for the port or move the tower to get to it. With the extension cable i simply route them towards the front of the case and problem solved.

Other Thoughts: Last year I bought a Nippon Labs USB 3.0 extension cable and it didn't work at USB 3.0 speeds! I saw this brand on sale with a coupon code so I thought I'd give it a shot, even with no other reviews posted at the time. Thankfully it works just fine. I also bought the three foot version of this cable and it too works just great!

Other Thoughts: At first it seemed only one of my two cables was working at USB 3.0 speeds. After careful investigation, it turns out that some of my USB 3.0 drives are just very slow. The cables are fine. So in this regard, I advise those who are purchasing USB 3.0 products to carefully review the read/write speeds.
Another thing I learned is that if FLASH crashes in your browser it may negatively affect your read/write speeds.
