Pros: Solid construction, good connectors throughout.

Cons: Power off-on issue.

Pros: Switches manually or with remote (when I can find the remote). Worked fine with LG Blue-ray, Pivos AIOS HD, Dish Network receiver, to an LG 60 TV.

Cons: Did not work at any resolution with ECS LIVA X (win8.1 mini pc) which was the main factor that I bought the switch for. I wanted to easily switch to the LIVA which is running Blue-Iris video surveillance software. The LIVA did work connected directly to the LG TV using a second HDMI connector on the TV.

Other Thoughts: The LIVA was not cheap, this switch should have worked with it but possibly the problem is the LIVA HDMI hardware. Also, if the remote was larger I would not have misplaced it.

Pros: I was able to see (poor quality) video on each source

Cons: This would not work with multiple displays without vertical lines and random pixels all over the screen. If I dropped it down to 720p 30Hz it would somewhat work.... but why would I ever want to do that??
Will not work with 1080p @60Hz without degrading the video quality.
The remote control would not change the input. I'm not sure if my device is defective or if this is all of them.

Other Thoughts: I wish I bought a higher quality switch for $10 more. The amount of time and aggravation trying to get this to work would have been well worth it.
This device will go nicely with my VCR and cassette tapes

Pros: Works as advertised. Switches multiple HDMI inputs. You can manually switch via included IR remote or using the physical button on the device. Additionally, when one of the connected, inacitve inputs becomes active, the device will "auto switch" to the newly powered on input, which is a nice feature.

Cons: My main complaint is that the device does not maintian connections with unselected inputs. For example, if input 1 is currently selected, then the switch does not maintian a connection with inputs 2, 3 or 4. So if you have a laptop on input 2, the laptop will not see the HDMI connection until you select input 2 on the switch. This has caused me some mild issues with my current home theater set-up. Note that I do not know if other HDMI switches have this fuctionally or not.

Other Thoughts: All of the inputs (including power) are on the back of the device, but the output is on the side. I would rather have a device that was a little wider, but had all inputs/outputs in the back.

Pros: nothing

Cons: Tried on multiple TVs with various HDMI cables and it didn't work. Now I have to pay for the shipping fees to return the device. Kinda blows. Rather just buy it from the local computer shop if this is the case.

Pros: This switch does exactly what it's supposed to. Very easy to setup with the components. The remote is easy to use as well.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought this switch because my older tv does not have enough hdmi ports. The switch was the answer to hooking up all of my componets.

Pros: If it worked properly it would be a convenient way to have all you're games hooked up to 1 port. You could also (Hypothetically) have them all on at once and use the remote included to switch between all the sources, or the button on the front.

Cons: Either I got a unit that wasn't working properly or there is a problem with all the switches. It works perfectly for about 10 minutes but after that the audio sparradically drops out. I wasn't sure what was happening at first, but after I figured it out plugging the device (PS3, PS4, Wii u all do the same thing) straight into the tv it works normally. This pretty much makes the switch pointless because I found myself walking back and forth and fiddling with wires just as much, if not more, than before I bought it.

Other Thoughts: I feel like I may have just been unlucky, but it's still been very annoying. I didn't catch it until I had thrown the box out either so I'm kinda stuck. Oh well.

Pros: Very Convenient to use

Has LED indicators to show which HDMI connections are energized
Compact
Does not require a separate power source to operate
Switch can be activated with an included remote control
includes a IR remote repeater although I have not used this feature

Cons: The remote control sensor is included within the unit so it has to be positioned where the remote IR signal can be picked up
If all the units are not powered on, the switch will sometimes randomly change to a different input, which is very annoying. However once I realised that I needed to keep all inputs powered on, this problem was resolved for me

Other Thoughts: I returned another unit and bought this one because of the problem of unexpected switching of inputs, but this problem may occur with all these types of switches. I may have accidentally discovered that all units need to be powered on. I think it would be better to dispense with the feature of automatic switching on power up of a unit, and just have the remote or integral manual switch always operate predictably.
I have a UVerse receiver, a Blu-ray player, a DVR with HD, and a Chromecast dongle plugged into this unit so that the single HDMI socket on my TV can be used for all of them
I think this unit is exceptionally well constructed

Pros: Plug 'n' play for me.
Overcame the limited input options on my receiver

Cons: Can't readily identify a manual way to switch input on the box itself (granted, it's in a dark spot and I haven't looked that well, just saying, if they ARE there, they should be obvious so I don't have to fumble.

Other Thoughts: Not really a con, just a "con"sideration. Keep your remote handy if you need to switch without shutting down your secondary system. It automatically switches to #2-4 if I turn one of them on, and switches back to #1 if I turn them off. But I have to use the remote if I want to leave more than one running and switch inputs.
