4 out of 5 eggsSomething Goofy

Pros: When it is working, it works well. Monitor is detected by Win 7 as supposed to be. Apparently there is Firmware in the adapter that can be updated.

Cons: Had some issues with the monitor blinking out (either the cable or video card is at fault, not the monitor, tried all 3 that I have) and then getting that the signal was not correct (like when you set the resolution too high).
Unplugged it, left it out for a while, plugged it back in and seems to be working now. Tried installing the firmware, said it was already current, reinstalled anyways.

Other Thoughts: Right now the monitor is working fine, so we will see. Hard to blame the cable when it could also be the video card. Also the adapter was a bit warm, but not hot, so not sure if there could be a heat issue. I doubt that as the adapter was only warm to the touch and not HOT.

I have this for about 2 months and the computer is pretty much on all the time.

If you are having issues, try updating the adapter's firmware. The issues described on their site explains my problems exactly.

I docked it an egg because of the issue I was having (since I got the adapter).

5 out of 5 eggsGot my 3rd DVI monitor working

Pros: Works! No power adapter, compact, less expensive than other options

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have 3 DVI/HDMI monitors, but could only use two at a time with my 5750 series video card. The 5750, and several other video cards, will support 3 monitors only if one of them is a display port monitor connected to the display port output on the card. Passive adapters that support sending DVI/HDMI over the display port connection don't solve this issue.

It's common knowledge that a power supply is required for an active adapter, but that's not the case with this device. This is indeed an active adapter, and allowed me to get all three DVI/HDMI monitors working simultaniously with my 5750 card. Problem solved....

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for triple-heading ATI cards

Pros: This allows you to use all three ports on newer ATI cards to span a desktop. Works perfectly in Windows 7, never had a problem with it at 1600x1200.

Cons: None to speak of - the cord could be a little longer for those of us with big cases, so the DVI connector can rest on the ground, but that's a minor gripe.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for Eyefinity

Pros: Works with my Asus EAH6970 card, currently running 3x1 configuration on 3 24" Asus monitors. I am currently using one adapter and the other two monitors are connected to my graphics card via DVI.

Cons: I have not run into any issues related specifically to Accell's adapter but I must note that while running eyefinity with any displayport adapter inconjunction with monitors connected with DVI you will get a line tear on either one or two monitors. The issue arises because dvi and displayport are two different specifications ( I think the issue is actually refreash rate?) So when setting up eyefinity monitors, choose, as the default monitor, the type of port that won't be affected by tear. I have my setup running with a DVI monitor as the left main screen, the middle is also running dvi and the right monitor is using the display port. The right monitor will have one line of tear that works its way down to the bottom of the monitor slowly and then start over from the top. If you choose a Displayport monitor as the main monitor, then the two DVI monitors tear. The issue only arises in eyefinity mode not when ran as extended desktops.

Other Thoughts: I use the adapter to achieve eyefinity mainly for gaming, but occasionally when I am working I will use eyefinity as well with hydragrid, and also as extended desktop strictly for work.

For gaming I recommend the monitor configuration mentioned above so you don't see any tears on the middle monitor while playing games as this will become distracting very quickly.

5 out of 5 eggswheres the rest?

Pros: Works as advertised, So far does what i need.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: i previously owned a Sapphire Active Display port. which worked great for a month. after that i started getting a flickering in the monitor using it, switched the Sapphire Active display port through 3 monitors and concluded it was in fact the Sapphire display port and not the video cards or monitor that was the issue.

i did a little web browsing and found to my surprise neither XFX, Sapphire or PowerColor is on the list. see for yourself
