Other Thoughts: For those complaining about price... you need to stop looking for cheap cords and just research the quality of the product.

FOR GAMERS: Yes, this will support 144hz and lower. Just make sure your computer has a mini display port and that your monitor has a display port. CS:GO never looked so smooth.

Pros: No problems connecting MSI GS260 laptop with mini DisplayPort to NEC P232W-BK monitor with DisplayPort (- video only). My monitor does not have speakers and did not come with a DP to mDP cable.

Cons: None that I know of.

Other Thoughts: NEC's website warned that not all DP cables were compatible with NEC monitors. After looking at newegg offerings and reviews, I decided this expensive cable was most likely to work, and it does. I've connected this laptop and monitor both ways, with similar or perhaps indistinguishable results. (The NEC monitor has an input button to quickly switch laptops so I have reserved HDMI for another laptop).

Pros: Clicks into place. Nice strong cable.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The cable is working flawlessly with a 24" (1920x1200) IPS monitor. It's only been two months, but this monitor swivels several times a day and pivots (portrait/landscape - major cable flex) several times a week.

It was also much easier (compared to the old DVI cable) to thread through the conduit it shares with a bunch of other cables.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: Works with 4k, even though it only says up to 2560x1600.

Cons: Cable is a little expensive

Other Thoughts: I bought this to connect a 4K display (Samsung UD590) to a mini-display port a Dell M3800, but was having problems finding any adapters that would push the full 4k resolution. I went with this one hoping it would work, and it did.

Pros: works well even by speakers no interference with a shield over the wires

Other Thoughts: There are compatibility issue with AMD cards but this is not the cable's fault. Wakes up from S3 sleep state work 90% of the time. Wakes from monitor power saver mode works 0% of the time. Again, not the cable's fault since this isn't an issue with Intel HD Graphic.

Pros: The lock side for Display port is amazing. If you want to push multiple monitors to 144hz display port is the way to go! Amazing build and design (wish they had em in black).

Cons: A tad pricey but I wanted a better connector end so I paid for it!
