1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Would not maintain connection; Kept losing power

Other Thoughts: Acquired this because I lost the 8-pin to 8-pin cord that came with my modular power supply. This adapter would not maintain its physical connection. Even with the clips, I would have to press the connectors together *hard* to get the CPU to power on. Then it was only a matter of time before the connectors vibrated out of place just enough for the CPU to lose power.

Giving this one egg because I can't give it zero eggs.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Built an economy unit for a friend. The PS had a 4 pin supply cable instead of an 8 pin, used this cable to adapt to the 8 pin on the MB. Works just fine.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Most inexpensive PS units have a 4 pin supply to the CPU. You'll need an adapter to plug into the newer MBs with an 8 pin plug.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice black cable wrap. Solid feeling.

Cons: I had to take a screwdriver and bend some of the pins so that they would fit in the PSU connector.

5 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: Makes 8 pins, nice net jacket around the wire

Cons: Very high cost. No way this cost newegg more than 2$. And most of the time you don't really need this. Most 8pins can work with just a 4-pin plugged into them.

Other Thoughts: Shouldn't have bought it, as i didn't really need it. But full eggs cause maybe some mobos need it.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: It works. 8 pin connector is actually two 4 pin connectors that lock together. Good idea.
