4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works as advertised. Connectors are solid and don't have the "cheap" feel as other brands I've worked with.

Cons: Sleeving could use improvement. Sleeving strands dislodged from heat shrink tubing during installation. Upon further inspection, it appears the sleeving itself was cut about an inch too short. I don't see this as a big deal in this instance since the cable will be in a windowless case. Hopefully the manufacturer will see this feedback and act accordingly to fix the issue.

Other Thoughts: Overall good product. Functions correctly and is aesthetically pleasing, provided the sleeving stays in-place.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Product

Pros: Excellent quality and looks good on high end PCs. Nothing to be ashamed of if you have a window'd case.

Cons: The +2 portion wasn't easy to manipulate.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my ATi card, required 1 6pin and 18pin. My PSU only has 2 6pins. This was the perfect setup.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed!

Pros: Quality construction. Just the right length. Good price. Can be used as a standard 6-pin PCI-E cable extender, or as a 6-pin to 8-pin PCI-E adapter. Cabling is sleeved/shrinkwrapped to prevent damage to wires.

Cons: The 6+2 connector does not actually snap together. There are little pieces that somewhat "fit" together, but they do not stay together until plugged in to the female socket. The only way to remedy this is with hot glue (if you intend to keep this as an 8-pin) or electrical tape (if you may need to use it as a 6-pin extender in the future).

Other Thoughts: Just what I needed! My PSU is a few years old now, and when I initially purchased it, PCI-E video cards did not require an 8-pin connector. Although it did come with 4 PCI-E cables, they all were of the 6-pin variety. This easily allowed me to connect my HD4890 TOXIC to my PSU without a hitch! As I stated above, the only downside is that I had to electrical tape the 6+2 connector(s) together for easier connection; specially since I am constantly in-and-out of my case and must frequently disconnect the cables. I could have left it as it was, but it is much quicker with the 6+2 always hooked together as if it were an actual 8-pin. Otherwise, this was a godsend. Thanks again Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: I thought my XFX Radeon 4890 XXX was doomed when I pluged in the 8-pin connector that came with my Antec EA500 and the blue flashed happened. The computer didn't power up and that is when I knew I need this cable. This cable will help if you get the 8-pin PCI-E video cards. My Radeon 4890 has an 8-pin and a regular 6-pin PCIE.

Cons: none. The cable works!
