4 out of 5 eggsIncorrect Pictures

Pros: The connector for the PCI-E 8 pin is a 6 pin with a set of 2 pins placed beside it so the connector can actually be used for converting 2 molex to either a 8 or 6 pin.

Cons: Cheaply made when I conntected it to my PSU one of the pins in the converter was slightly bent and almost caused the entire pin to pop out the other side. Handle with care and take your time plugging it in. and the pictures displayed here are incorrect although it still works for what its made for its still misleading.

5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I needed

Pros: It works! I bought an 800W Power Supply just before AMD and nVidia started coming out with cards that needed 8-pin PCI-e connectors.

It ran an SLI system until recently when I purchased a GTX 480 secondhand. The 480 needs both a 6-pin AND an 8-pin PCI-e connector and I only had three of the 6-pin connectors on my PSU.

I've purchased this and now everything is running great!

Cons: The cord didn't come ecxactly as shown, which is ok. It came as a 2xMolex --> 6+2 Pin PCI-e. Nothing to worry about, as it still does the job, but a little odd to think that you're getting one thing and then you end up with another.

Other Thoughts: Also, the price was a little bit steep. It's a bit cough-worthy when shipping is the same price as the actual cord. I actually wish they would have shipped this tiny thing in a bubble envelope and not a 12'x10'x4' box... it might have cut down on shipping costs...

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed

Pros: Simple item for an old AGP video card (Radeon 3850) and the 8-pin connector on the video card threw me for a loop initially, but once it was clear it was the same as a motherboard connector, no problems.

Cons: none I can speak of

5 out of 5 eggsGraphics Card Use

Pros: - Use for graphics cards such as the HD4890 that now require 8 pin power, but you may not have the proper connector unless your PSU is brand new.

Cons: - Not for use for motherboards * ONLY PCI-E Graphics
