Pros: It's a digital adapter. For the most part these either work or don't work. This one does the job just fine for my dual monitor setup.

Other Thoughts: Needed to hook up my new monitor that only had vga and hdmi inputs. 1920 x 1080p. looks really good once I got it dialed in.

Pros: The cable is completely reliable. Produces a genuinely crisp image on multiple displays and resolutions.

Originally purchased for connecting my Xbox 360 to my monitor. Now being used for second monitor.

Some people may consider the stiffness of the cable to be a con, however I honestly prefer it. Provides a sense of durability.

Other Thoughts: Alright, so you're complaining about the hdmi portion not carrying sound... DVI doesn't carry any audio signals, so even with the HDMI end, you're not going to get an audio to your monitor with speakers or HDTV. You need to run a separate set of cables to run audio. It just simply won't happen with DVI.

I'm only not using it for my 360 right now as I have that at a different house at the moment. I had to purchase a "RCA Audio Cable Adapter for XBOX 360" to run audio from the 360 to separate speakers. (The stock part covers the HDMI port on the older 360s, so you can't use HDMI video and composite audio normally. Not sure about the newer slim 360s. The adapter isn't on NewEgg, though.)

Pros: I have two of these connected to my computers Video Card. One, a 15 foot, feeds the picture from there to my 32 inch TV. The other, a 6 foot, since the best thing that my current monitor offers is a DVI input, serves as my main connector for an HD picture. On both of these, it looks phenomenal, showing off perfectly it's 1080p capabilities.

Cons: HDMI-to-DVI, unfortunately, doesn't emit sound. Since this is typical of all of them, however, I wouldn't dock any eggs. However, for the sake of monitors with speakers but no HDMI slot, and stuff of the sorts, I think they should include this technology. Not just Nippon Labs, but every single manufacturer of these on the market period. You can only benefit from it.

Other Thoughts: If the lack of sound isn't a big deal to you, or if you have an alternative source for sound, buy this. You won't regret it.

Pros: this little cord is awesome it does wonders for my 60 inch flat screen if you want to watch stuff from your computer but only have hdmi on it and you know your grafix card dont do it then i would so get this very good picture with it even lets me play sound from it pretty cool as well

Cons: cord could have been a bit longer for more options to move around with got to keep the coputer in about 4 feet to have it to the tv but i knew that getting it but no biggie really

Other Thoughts: For my specificye application I thought I needed this cable along with the displayport adapter that came with my macbook pro. But turns out it plugs right into the displayport. Ordered on Thursday received on Monday. Very happy with purchase. Close mb cover, turn monitor on, unplug/ replug mouse, open mb cover. Enjoy. Also turn off auto display shut off and just turn off monitor when not in use.
