Cons: It's not the advertised 6', it's much closer to 5'. I have a very large workstation, and fortunately I was able to re-position everything just enough for the cable to reach. Other Thoughts: If you're not worried about the length of the cable, this cable should be perfect for whatever your particular need is. Other Thoughts: I needed an extra USB cord for my powered external desktop hard drive, so I bought this one. I was borrowing a USB cord from a printer I had which is 6" shorter than this one. I ordered 3 of these cables for external drives and a usb satellite tuner and none of the cables communicate with the pc. I get "Windows was unable to load drivers" error message when using them. Other usb cables I have work fine. Perhaps it's cable construction, crosstalk, etc., I don't know, they don't work for me. Other Thoughts: Wish I had spent a few more $'s for cables that work!
