1 out of 5 eggsUSB 6 foot extension cable

Pros: None

Cons: They Don't work with my external Hard Drives. I bought 3 of these cables. I tried them with 3 external drives and with 2 computers. The computers recognized something had been plugged in (Made the dunk sound), but never saw the drives. Disk Manager never saw the drives. I have bought other extensions that worked so it IS THE CABLE. Save your money by another brand. These are junk.

Other Thoughts: I might be able to use them like short pieces of rope. To tie something up with. I kept them only because the hassle of sending them back was not worth it.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

Pros: It's long

Cons: It only works as a power cable. It will not work for any type of data transfer at all.

When I plugged this into my USB hub, none of my devices were recognized at all.

Other Thoughts: I see others have the same problem, This product is severely mislabeled. It shoulds say power cable and shouldn't be advertised as a data cable. Or, possibly it *MAY* work as a data cable if you're lucky.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well with most devices

Pros: Works well with most devices.

Cons: Will not work with scanners/printers cords as an extension. I have an EPSON Perfection V600 scanner and it will not work due to cable length. I found out to due transfer/power requirements that some scanners will not function properly or even at all. -1 egg because of inconvenience, even though it was my fault for not doing enough research into my scanner. The other con which is if you wish to charge something with this cord, it will increase the charge time needed because the cord will lower the wattage coming out by a bit. It takes about 30 minutes more to charge my HTC one M7 from 10% to full, using the supplied charge cord and wall plug from HTC.

Other Thoughts: Been using this with my ps3 to charge my controller while using it. I love it! :D

2 out of 5 eggsDoes not work with USB TV Tuner

Pros: Works as an extension for my MP3 player, and the price was great.

Cons: I bought this primarily for the USB TV Tuner on our lap top and the TV Tuner will not work through this cable. Maybe the cable is just too long for the application. The cable that came with the tuner is only about 6" long. I also tried to use it with a USB thumb drive and the system will not see it in My Computer. I am now using it for an extension to charge my MP3 player, it works great for that.

Other Thoughts: I gave it 2 eggs because the cable may not be made for such high throughput that I bought it for. It does make a great extension for a device that just needs to be charged or with a light throughput. In any case I won't return it. It just will not do what I bought it for.

1 out of 5 eggsFalse description

Pros: Is a USB extension cable.

Cons: Someone lied on the description, this thing does not passes data, only power.

Other Thoughts: Is not worth paying to return it, but this is false advertising, this thing is only a power cable, it does not passes data.

5 out of 5 eggsKnow your limits

Pros: Extends 6 feet. I was able to extend my drawing tablet and there seemed to be no loss in how accurate it was. I was also able to extend my PS3 controller and I found no lag, whether I used it on my console or computer. 6 feet can make a lot of difference.

Cons: Might not transfer data as fast/at all depending on the device. Worked insanely slowly on a portable hard drive, didn't recognize my phone, and didn't work at all on a smart pen. Will still charge said devices if they can be, but at a slower pace. It's always best to use the chargers that come with your devices, with no extenders.

Other Thoughts: I do believe someone mentioned this in a review, but above certain lengths, the ability to transfer signals in any cable is degraded. That is why you shouldn't rely on these cables, especially, for important things. I just use it to comfortably use my tablet and game controllers. If you absolutely need something powerful extended, you're going to need to buy some premium, expensive stuff with it's own power source.
