5 out of 5 eggsDied after four uses.

Pros: Speed was up to par with eSATA.

Download Speed Comparison (25.5GB file):

USB 2.0 = 14 min 30 seconds @ 30MB/s
eSATA using this cable = 4 min 50 seconds @ 90MB/s

Test 2: Same file being uploaded to the external drive.

USB 2.0 = 18 min 8 seconds @ 24MB/s
eSATA using this cable = 6 min 48 seconds @ 64MB/s

Cons: I used it for an external hard drive to backup files once a month, after using it four times, it no longer worked. Luckily the hard drive had a USB 2.0 option, had to use that. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Other Thoughts: The External HD was the Toshiba 1TB PH3100U-1EXB. Another review said there was a problem with that drive, so I can't say if it's the drive's failed eSATA port or the cable's fault.

I'll purchase a different cable and comment later.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent cable

Pros: Good price. Performance was as it should be. Connectors and cable feel solid.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Always searching for low price and a large number of positive reviews for cables. Nippon Labs keeps popping up and I have yet to be disappointed.

4 out of 5 eggsa little stiff

Pros: -long
-seem very durable
-they work perfectly

Cons: a little stiff. rather than folding on 2 axises, the cables have more of a folding bend. i haven't had any sata ports unplugged but it seems like they would.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for me

Pros: Works for me. Good length. Not to long or too short.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased a Fantom 2TB Drive and used this cable to test it out.

I purchased another cable that failed to work, so I came back and rated this so that others don't buy the one that failed.

The one that failed is the 1M version of this cable.

1 out of 5 eggsSpend a bit more for something better.

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Cheap!! I have gone through several of these. They are VERY poorly designed and manufactured. Two were
defective on delivery. One had actually come apart at the junction between the cable and the connector while
it was still in the sealed plastic bag. Another failed within minutes of use. A free replacement that was sent has just failed at six months. I expect that the one which is still working won't last much longer, so I'm currently buying new (and hopefully BETTER QUALITY) cables.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste you money on these. Spend a few extra dollars for something more reliable.

2 out of 5 eggsNot for long term use

Pros: Inexpensive, Good data speeds. Fits picky connectors.
If you have a real picky connector use this till you find one that is higher quality.

Cons: The cable will begin to crack at the plugs within 6 months. The cable is so stiff it will slowly crack untill the plugs are only holding on by the shielding. The cable needs alot of clearance room because it cannot make any reasonable bends. So if the cable connects behind computer or harddrive it needs about 6 inches of room between them and the wall to prolong lifespan of stiff plastic. I bought quite a few of these before i realized this would happen.

Other Thoughts: I strongly unadvise frequent moving or adjusting of the cable. They are so stiff they may even break the ports they connect to. I constantly worry about it. I have used these with laptops and they crack in about 3 months due to daily attaching and detaching.
Dont buy in bulk.
