If you only have the hardware to run S-video, then I'd recommend this for you. If you can get HDMI relatively cheaply, then do that. I recently upgraded to an HDMI video card with audio passthrough, and can get 1080p from my PC to my TV. It's a pretty huge improvement. No cable issues from this cable. Cons: S-video is a dated technology that is already beginning to be phased out. If S-video's what you've got, then there's no con with this cable. Other Thoughts: Go for it. C'mon.....c'mon!!! Cons: I have it ziptied along with a few other cables and it picks up interference when everything is running. This results in "rolling refresh lines" on the screen (using it from a PC to a TV).
