5 out of 5 eggsREAD, THINK, APPLY

Pros: Worked perfectly for my HP EliteBook 8560w to my 32 inch. VIzio LCD HDTV. Just what I needed.

Cons: DOES NOT WORK IN REVERSE, you will not be able to use this cable for HDMI graphics out to a DP monitor. It just doesn't work that way.

Other Thoughts: Everything was great, good sturdy cable, I had gotten mine used off of (internet auction site) for like $2. I read some of the reviews and comments below.... Can't claim to have High Tech Knowledge if you don't actually do your research... Just saying. Otherwise, great price, and I've never been steered wrong by Newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks.

Pros: Length - is just right for laptop-to-monitor usage. Might be insufficient for desktop usage.

Cons: - Pricey for a passive cable.
- Stiff.
- Large connectors.

Other Thoughts: Please make sure your DisplayPort is of the ++ variety, else this cable won't work.
The connectors should really be smaller - am having trouble with the laptop docking station's bulge from the back because of this cable. Oh well.

1 out of 5 eggsNot working

Pros: Seems durable

Cons: Not flexible if you want that, plugs are long, barely fits on my monitor, oh and does not work. RMA.. :/

Other Thoughts: I do have a DP to VGA so I know the DP on my computer works, and also I have a HDMI to HDMI port to know that the HDMI port on my monitor works. To bad, I was waiting for this too :(

5 out of 5 eggsdoes the job but it's very short

Pros: does the job properly, feels fairly sturdy/quality feel

Cons: on the short end, I didn't realize that I'd really miss the extra length (not what she said!) but I do!

5 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: it works for a passive connection on an ati card with both display port and dvi output at once.

Cons: a bit bulky, and 3ft is only 3ft; make sure that's long enough for your needs.

Other Thoughts: if i were connecting a 3rd monitor, an active cable would be needed

5 out of 5 eggsEffective. Cheap.

Pros: It is what it says it is. It connects full size displayport (on my thinkpad X220) to an HDMI monitor. It works well (no flickering, plugs and unplugs easily but securely, etc.)

Nice length for a laptop-to-monitor cable

Cheap, and still pretty well made.

Cons: None, for what it is.

Other Thoughts: Short. That's good for use with a laptop, but it wouldn't get from a desktop machine on the floor to my monitor.

It's a pretty heavy cable, not the most flexible, and the displayport end has a large plug. This might be good for durability and signal quality, but I think an ideal cable would be a bit lighter/more flexible.
