90 Degrees - the right way
Pros: This little adapter works perfectly, low profile and passes ARC audio signals. The pictures here do a great job showing you exactly what you're getting. I used this on a wall mounted 2012 Panasonic TV with rear jacks. It lets the panel rest against the wall without contacting or damaging the port or cable.
Cons: Haven't observed any cons
Other Thoughts: If you need an adapter that turns UP, those tend to be labeled as a 270 degree right angle adapter. Definitely look at the photo of what you're buying! And DON'T give a bad review because YOU picked the wrong part!

90 degrees - the wrong way
Pros: Works well for some applications.
Cons: Most TVs, Blu-Ray players are oriented with the HDMI slot long-side on the top. Using this 90-degree adapter points the HDMI cable down - straight down into the shelf that the electronic device is sitting on.
