Cons: Could not figure out how this was to be utilized within the Phanteks Luxe case I purchased. Additionally I purchased two other Phanteks 140mm fans and was wanting to run those with the three existing case fans, using the included controller device included with the case purchase.

Instruction booklet was extremely vague in how to use this splitter, so I did not. Kind of a waste of $5.00 in my situation.

Other Thoughts: Instructions were to connect the PWM header to the CPU 4-pin board header. Perhaps on newer mother boards there is some benefit to this configuration. On my older AMD/MSI 790fx-gd70 - it is easier to control fan speed within the bios off one of the 3 pin headers through voltage regulation, while providing 100% power to the 4-pin header for the Corsair H70 pump situated on the CPU cooling block.

This 3 pin Y Splitter cable was of no benefit with my final fan power configuration. The instructions on Phanteks site and elsewhere are not clear. I purchased it thinking it would be better to have and not need than need and not have, as a result.

Pros: Great for the Phanteks PWM fan hub, which is what these were specifically designed for. This product is not to be used as a standard fan splitter as it is designed to be pared with a PWM fan hub which then gets it's voltage from the motherboard fan connector, allowing it to control all fans even though these only use 2 pin connections. They work great in my Enthoo Primo case which came with them and the fan hub together.

Cons: None, they are sleek, and built really well.

Other Thoughts: Ignore what the other reviewers have said about these being only working with 2 pins and giving you no control, that is a purposeful part of the design as they are built specifically to be used with a PWM fan hub.

Pros: Very high quality construction and materials.

Cons: It's 2 wire, but still works great.

Other Thoughts: The new motherboard has only 2 fan headers and now with this accessory I can get both case fans going and cpu fan. The fans are large and low speed. Since this does not have speed control wire there still is no increase in noise, they are perfectly silent.

Pros: Black, looks good.

Cons: Only a 2 wire system, not 4, not even 3!! 2-wire, no speed control.

Pros: Nice black color.

Cons: Alert! only has 2-wires...but 3 pins.
