5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Connectors

Pros: NO scrap cables, and every one of them works at Gigabit speeds. Never even had a single bad end.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Rewired my entire house with Full Gigabit throughout. I used Coboc CY-CAT6-1K(CM)-ST-PR 1000 ft. Cat 6 Purple Color 550Mhz UTP Network Cable, BYTECC RJ-45PLUG Cat 6 Crystal Clear RJ-45 Shielded Tip/Connector, 100-Pack, 2x BYTECC C6BOOT-K Black Color Snagless Boots for RJ45, 50-Pack, and Rosewill RTK-007 Cable Tester - Pro - No Issues

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: They support gigabit and crimp easily. They seem durable enough I suppose. Easy to work with.

Cons: I have used about 15 of these connectors so far, NOT ONE has the ability to "clip" which is an industry STANDARD. With the slightest bump a wire could lose it's full connection or the connection entirely. Very poor in quality by that standard.

5 out of 5 eggsThey work.

Pros: They work nicely. I've made a couple dozen successful cat6 cables with them with very little trouble. I don't tend to run at Cat6 speed (though I use cat6 cable), so maybe they aren't as successful as I think. But, crimp them nice enough that they really shouldn't lose signal.

Cons: The issue with crimping and the tabs crimping down is real. To get them to click into a router or NIC you need to side something under it to push the tab back out.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent quality

Pros: Decent quality for price, I've made 2 cables, so I've used 4 tips. Not sure if I had scored the insulation on one wire, but I had to re-crimp two new tips on the first wire, no problems, on the second wire, I took better care cutting shielding and separating the pairs, had no issues other than squeezing an end a bit tighter.

Cons: None yet

5 out of 5 eggsGreat plugs

Pros: Needed to run some wires in the attic before it gets hot. Made a few long runs and a fist full of 3 footers. Its been a while since I made cables and couldn't find my tool. Used a narrow pair of pliers that worked great. Saw some complaints about clip tightness. I found it to be the opposite. When done used a flathead to raise the clip up. It made them too tight to release.

Cons: Be careful when bending the clip back out. All my plugs where so tight it was difficult to release them.

Other Thoughts: none

5 out of 5 eggsIts an RJ-45 connector

Pros: - Works as advertised
- These DO click in the plugs (other thoughts)
- Not hard to crimp

Cons: - None

Other Thoughts: Other people have complained that these don't click. Usually that's caused by the crimp tool. Just bend the tab back up and you'll be good to go.

Honestly if you can't figure that out, you're probably in the wrong field. Just saying.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for CAT6

Pros: As other reviewers mentioned, the ends do fit very snug on a CAT6 cable. However, I consider this to be a strong pro in their favor, since the last thing you want after having carefully lined up all the wires and shoved them in the jack is for anything to shift around while you fumble around for your crimper to seal the deal.

Cons: They didn't come with boots? For the price, really don't have anything to complain about, and found the ends to be exactly as advertised, and working very well for CAT6.

4 out of 5 eggsFits CAT5e fine, but not a good clicker

Pros: cheap
high quantity
maintains good connection once tab has been pulled out so it clicks in
durable - haven't had any break on me
fits CAT5e perfectly

Cons: doesn't click into Ethernet port (need to pull up on the tab, after that it clicks every time)

1 out of 5 eggsThese connectors do NOT maintain a good connection

Pros: Cheap but not worth it. I have to get them replaced from one from homedepot

Cons: These connectors do not maintain a good connection to the jack. They do not "snap" into place
