The Axis Pendant Dome protects Axis network cameras in outdoor environments as well as indoor conditions that may be humid, cold or dusty.

The housing provides IP66-class protection from dust and water ingress. With fan-assisted heating, the housing enables the camera to operate in temperatures down to -4?F (-20?C).

The dome ships with an optically clear polycarbonate lower dome that can be replaced with a tinted version. The housing provides an internal protective passage for cables and is easy to install on ceilings and walls.

They are overpriced for what you get. The housing is black ABS plastic painted white and the paint is very fragile. The internal power supply board is sometimes unreliable. Check voltage at the power plug before plugging in your camera. I've seen numerous housings providing too low of a voltage for the camera to operate and it ends up burning up the camera. There is a trim pot on the board that can be adjusted to turn up the voltage to an acceptable level. I've installed over a thousand Axis cameras and about a hundred of these housings. Axis makes top notch very high quality stuff and this housing does not match the usual quality of their products. Thankfully they are now making their own die cast aluminum housing that is about 1000 times better than this. Other Thoughts: Don't bother. Did you find this review helpful? Cons: The product shipped to me was not manufactured by Axis. I received a product made by Videolarm with minimal documentation and the incorrect power board for compatibility with my Axis 214.
