5 out of 5 eggsWorks precisely as intended

Pros: Windows 7 was reporting "Good" signal strength (3/5 bars) using the included antenna on my TL-WN781ND wireless adapter. Switching to this antenna boosted the signal to "Excellent" (5/5 bars). The 5dBi gain versus the 2dBi gain of the original antenna likely would have been enough, but the magnetic base also allowed me to put this antenna in a better location than the back of the computer where the original was located.

Cons: The only possible con I can see with this product is that the antenna is not removable from the base. This means that you cannot put the antenna directly on a wireless card, but in most cases it's better off not to locate the antenna there anyway.

Other Thoughts: Some people seem to expect this and other antennas like it to be miracle workers. They're not, nor should anyone expect them to be. In other words, don't expect to go from having no signal to a full signal.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: magnetic base airplay wouldnt work unless you were within 5 feet of the av rack that the router is in because the rack blocks alot of signal but once i added the antannaes airplay now works from anywhere on the property huge range

5 out of 5 eggsThe Perfect Antenna

Pros: SImple. Easy to install.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this and a new wifi card but turns out the card was ok. The old antenna was the culprit.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap price for a decent wireless antenna. It's significantly better than the little antenna most cheap wireless cards come with and gets a much larger range. When building my sister a computer, she could barely get a signal from the router downstairs with the stock antenna. After switching to this one however, she picks up signals from routers 3 houses away.

Cons: None if you cant get wired directly to your internet and the stock antenna isn't cutting it

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: The cable is long enough so it can be placed out of the way so electronic interferance won't effect it quite as much and bring a noticable boost in signal to my desktop. The original 2dbi antenna the wireless card came with could barely get 1 to 2 bars of signal. With this 5dbi antenna I get 4- 5 bars of signal. It also has a magnetic bottom which was not mentioned in the desciption.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Would have been nice if the description had mentioned the magnetic base on the antenna.

5 out of 5 eggsYay!

Pros: Simple solution- great price.

Cons: Wish the cable a foot or two longer but it is doing the trick.

Other Thoughts: Moved an older desk top to a bedroom hoping to be able to get streaming radio, etc. The wireless card was at the bottom of the tower and reception was sporadic. This did the trick. Made a few adjustments to my settings and it is sweet! Streaming NetFlix without a hitch! Picking up wireless signals from quite a distance away.

1 out of 5 eggsOEM antenna was better

Pros: Small
Inexpensive
130cm cable

Cons: Cable could be even longer to help positioning
Didn't work any better (actually was worse) than OEM antenna on MI24WR Verizon router

Other Thoughts: Don't know who this might work for.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are sorry to hear that the TL-ANT2405C did not fulfill your wireless needs.

In regards to your Verizon router, please remember that if it has 2 antenna connections, then replacing one of them with the TL-ANT2405C will not do much good, as both antennas need to be the same dBi.

We do appreciate your feedback and we thank you for your honest assessment of the form factor and cable length.

We strive to provide the best quality and functionality with our products and we hope you continue to enjoy TP-LINK networking devices!

Best Regards!

5 out of 5 eggsWorked Great

Pros: Worked just as I had hoped. Asides from a much better connection to my router, I have gone from 4 visible WiFi signals to over a dozen.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these to upgrade the two antennas on my PCI-E wireless adapter. The computer they went on is the furthest in the house from the router, through several walls, and on a different floor. The difference that I saw is akin to going from dial-up to broadband. Keep in mind though its just an antenna and will only solve specific connection issues.
