5 out of 5 eggsYay!

Pros: Simple solution- great price.

Cons: Wish the cable a foot or two longer but it is doing the trick.

Other Thoughts: Moved an older desk top to a bedroom hoping to be able to get streaming radio, etc. The wireless card was at the bottom of the tower and reception was sporadic. This did the trick. Made a few adjustments to my settings and it is sweet! Streaming NetFlix without a hitch! Picking up wireless signals from quite a distance away.

1 out of 5 eggsOEM antenna was better

Pros: Small
Inexpensive
130cm cable

Cons: Cable could be even longer to help positioning
Didn't work any better (actually was worse) than OEM antenna on MI24WR Verizon router

Other Thoughts: Don't know who this might work for.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are sorry to hear that the TL-ANT2405C did not fulfill your wireless needs.

In regards to your Verizon router, please remember that if it has 2 antenna connections, then replacing one of them with the TL-ANT2405C will not do much good, as both antennas need to be the same dBi.

We do appreciate your feedback and we thank you for your honest assessment of the form factor and cable length.

We strive to provide the best quality and functionality with our products and we hope you continue to enjoy TP-LINK networking devices!

Best Regards!

5 out of 5 eggsWorked Great

Pros: Worked just as I had hoped. Asides from a much better connection to my router, I have gone from 4 visible WiFi signals to over a dozen.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these to upgrade the two antennas on my PCI-E wireless adapter. The computer they went on is the furthest in the house from the router, through several walls, and on a different floor. The difference that I saw is akin to going from dial-up to broadband. Keep in mind though its just an antenna and will only solve specific connection issues.

5 out of 5 eggsGood price, works great

Pros: Cheap and includes a 4 ft cable. I was able to relocate my antenna from the back of my computer case. This improved my signal strength from 37% to 52%. Improved browser speed too.

Cons: Cable could be longer, but it's longer than most others.

Other Thoughts: This antenna works better than the cheepo 7db antenna I had attached to the back of my computer.

2 out of 5 eggsLower Signal than Ant from Svc Prov

Pros: Easy to hook up. Well boxed. Only $9. If you just need a cheap antenna in a small house, this one will be okay.

Cons: Needed a slightly better signal than the cheap Ver!z@n antenna that comes with their router. Comparison: The Ver!z@n antenna gives me a 75% signal strength one room away (20 ft). This antenna gives me 68% in the identical location. Attempted to reposition it but could never get it over 70% signal strength. My hi-end smart TV is 50 ft away through 1 wall. I get 1 bar. I get between 1 and 2 bars with the Ver!z@n antenna.

Other Thoughts: The write up should state a more accurate assessment of it's range. I would have been willing to purchase something more expensive if I knew it was weak. Hope this helps someone.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are sorry that the TL-ANT2405C did not give you the performance you desired. However, we do offer other antennas that should give you that extra bit of signal that you're looking for, beyond the standard 5dbi.

Pretty much any 6dbi or higher grade antenna will substantially improve your wireless network.

Included is a link to our products in this area. We hope you find what you're looking for!

Thank you for supporting TP-LINK.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: I had used signal boosters from NetGear that cost three times what the TP Link did and they never improved my performance.

This antenna took what was a poor and frequently disconnected signal to a blazing fast and rock solid connection to my desktop.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsHelps

Pros: Added a bar to my reception plugged into my D-link wireless adapter.

Cons: Wire could have been a little bit longer - but good enough.

Other Thoughts: Recommended - besides adding the bar - there is faster thru-put on my wireless browsing.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job!

Pros: I bought this in an attempt to improve on what felt like 56k speeds on my desk top which had an old Linksys wireless card. The desktop was in a corner under a desk so reception was horrible and this antenna was exactly what I needed to get a consistent 48mbps - 56 mbps connection that does not drop.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this for 13.99 and saw that it dropped to 8.99 within a few days. I thought it was a bit overpriced at 13.99 but customer service very quick to adjust the price after a quick call.

5 out of 5 eggsAfter 3 of them I'm impressed

Pros: Took a signal from an average router and made the differences between no (or hardly any) reception to amazing or surprising reception.

Cons: Next day shipping with rush processing wasn't free.

Other Thoughts: I have 3 of these the first one was when we were borrowing my neighbors wifi, then we got the second with a new NIC . The difference between upstairs (plugged directly into the router) and down stairs (wifi) is NONE. Third one was for the kids computer when one of them broke the USB NIC, and we used an old PCI NIC. Well 40 feet away and through 3 walls and a brick fire place the antenna it had didn't cut it, this did!
Very satisfied with this product!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: This antenna Improved my signal greatly.

I was having issues with the stock antenna on my desktop computer. My router is upstairs. I the computer I bought it for was downstairs on the opposite side of the house. The antenna was on the far side of the computer under a computer desk. Add in the floor and walls that are inevitable, and I had an awfully poor signal considering the distance it had to travel. Additionally, it was so bad the poor signal adversely affected other devices on my network too.

Since i got this, my computer reports all bars and full speed (still have a B/G card in this unit.) The speed and reliability of all devices on the network has improved greatly too.

I highly recommend this antenna if you just need to get your signal over the desk/computer case. Just what I needed.

Cons: I wish there were holes in the base so I could mount this to the side of my computer desk.
