5 out of 5 eggsFor small job, this works fine.

Pros: Wall mount. Small size. Ports labeled clearly. Wire codes clearly labeled on back. Included bracket.

Cons: Bracket is plastic, but works nonetheless.

Other Thoughts: I needed a patch panel to finish out a residential network wiring job. This fit the bill fine. Price good, and ports are clearly labeled. Easy to punch down with a decent impact tool.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Have used several of these and they all work perfectly. I have used cat5e and cat6 without issue.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Buy it.

Even though I have never had to repunch one of these, I don't think it would be of any issue if you needed to. The guy who said something about the bracket, it is the same exact spec bracket they all use for this type of patch panel. learn how to manage your wires well and there will be no pressure at all pushing the panel out of the bracket.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh Quality Panel, Easy to Install

Pros: Has wall mount included. High Quality Terminals. Well Labeled Ports.

Cons: Terminals are kind of close together between ports. But if you are careful and watch where you are terminating wires, no problem.

Other Thoughts: I tried another no-name 12 port patch panel bought locally. Piece of Junk! This one from trip-lite MUCH Better. Would purchase again.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent panels

Pros: Easy to use, even if your new to patch panels.
Flexible mounting style, you can mount it vertical or horizontal.
Fairly good quality product.

Cons: Took a bit to figure out how the panels came out, should have read directions.
No center wire ties.

Other Thoughts: I would have to say this is a really great product for doing IDFs that have > 7 nodes and 1 home run. It was very easy to punch down and tell how the cables went into it. This was my first patch panel setup and it went very well, I did 3 of theses and a 24 port rack mount MDF. I would recommend this product if it fills your needs.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Works great. Cheap. Lots of ports.

Cons: The plastic bracket that you screw to the wall is a little flimsy. I cracked one when installing it, but it still works. Just be careful and you'll be fine.

Other Thoughts: Pick up a punchdown tool and you'll be wiring things like a pro in no time.

3 out of 5 eggsWall mount bracket could be better...

Pros: Mounts to the wall. Punch downs and jacks seem fairly sturdy.

Cons: Doesn't stay snapped to wall mount very well especially with all twelve cables routed. Wish it was 16 port and not twelve port.

Other Thoughts: Otherwise fine for home network installation, but I could have bought a rack mount 16 port for the same price and probably mounted it to the wall myself with a home made bracket.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little patch panel

Pros: I bought this patch panel for my basement networking closet. It is very user friendly. It came with all of the mounting hardware and necessary equipment right in the box.
For novice users there is a simple diagram to follow along for both A and B configuration.

Cons: The mounting bracket is a little flimsy (plastic) but I did not have any issues mounting it or with stability.

5 out of 5 eggsCompact works great

Pros: The panel is compact and made of sturdy metal. Comes with mounting bracket and screws. Patch connections were also color coded. Worth every penny.

If only my wall plates were colored correctly! For those who have a standard RJ45 wall plate here is the color scheme to match T568B on the panel:
OrangeStripe <--> Blue
OrangeSolid <--> Orange
GreenStripe <--> Black
BlueSolid <--> Red
BlueStripe <--> Green
GreenSolid <--> Yellow
BrownStripe <--> Brown
BrownSolid <--> White (or gray)

Cons: Not really a con, but the panel is not hinged to the mount bracket. So, basically, it's hanging there by the wires until you've made all your connections and clip it to the mount. For the price, it's hardly worth mentioning, but they make you put a con.
