3 out of 5 eggsThis will do.

Pros: It works.

Had all I needed in a motherboard.

Smaller than my old board.

Newegg

Cons: Audio drivers were a royal pain in the rear to get working with windows 7... finally did and now it works just fine.

Difficult to connect my DVD drive to this board... really had to stretch the cord.

The only board I could find that supported 4 slots for DDR2 with LGA 775. Felt forced into getting this board.

Other Thoughts: Not quite a 4 star product but more like a 3.5 than a 3.

Will repost if anything goes wrong. Looks like I might have got the last one (whew!), newegg discontinued very shortly after my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent New Egg product as usual

Pros: This board was installed, configured, and running in a very short amount of time. I performed all of the hardware installation, OS installation, and BIOS updates with no problems whatsoever. My custom-built system is running Windows 7 Ulitmate, and very well I might add.

Cons: No problems at this time, so no cons to report.

Other Thoughts: I am an IT-Computer Applications student at this time, and this was about my 8th build. This one has been the most pleasant so far.

4 out of 5 eggsPackage Details Wrong

Pros: Usual excellent Intel quality.

Cons: Package only contains MB + shield + Driver CD-ROM + 1xSATA cable.

No PATA cable and short 1xSATA cable from what it claims.

4 out of 5 eggsI must be lucky

Pros: Appears to be a new board. no problems loading Win 7 32 bit. Used G.skill pc6400 2x2 dual channel. Got a Intel Pentium D 945 Presler 3.4GHz and loaded Win 7 64 bit, but it was just too slow for my liking. The onboard video worked ok, but I chose a faster external video instead. USB works, and used flash drive to load misc drivers. Have a usb keyboard hooked up to it. The gigabit lan works as good as my newer stuff. (3meg up and 15 to 20 meg down depending upon the day)

I guess I'm just lucky --- No major problems!

Cons: No Intel support. But, if you dig deep enough through the Intel site you can find some updates/info.

The cooling is poor, but I hooked up an adjustable cooling fan over the processor that sprays air on the North and South bridges.

Other Thoughts: This is an early design board, so I can't expect it to keep up with the new stuff.
The computer is now a terminal at work operating as planned.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of JUNK

Pros: none. Absolutely NONE. I will NEVER, EVER buy an INTEL motherboard again. I recommend YOU to stay AWAY!!!

Cons: Will not recognize USB peripherals on boot. Intel says board is no longer supported. Can't boot to install OS (wants me to select the CD to boot from, even though it only has one!) And I can't use ANY KEYBOARD, and I've tried 3 different working keyboards! NO USB AT BOOT.

Other Thoughts: Neweggs advanced search took me to this board. Apparently it's the only 775 board they have that supports 4 slots for RAM. But it's JUNK. Will not recognize any USB keyboard at boot time! How can you change the settings? I can't even boot from the CD, because it want's me to select an option. I can't change BIOS settings to make it boot. What a waste of MONEY and TIME.

4 out of 5 eggsReady for a headache?

Pros: High bandwidth RAM, treats my CPU well, and impressively enough it can run onboard and PCI audio together.

It's pretty impressive for an LGA775.

Cons: !!!INTEL NO LONGER SUPPORTS THIS BOARD!!!

If you can't sort out the problems yourself or find someone online, around town or in your circle to help you through them, do NOT buy this board.

* RAM stability is rather poor, it seems. Even with the latest BIOS I can't pair my DDR2 and still be able to start the machine. Simple solution is to make sure your system isn't trying to use dual-channel pairing. In my case, that's as simple as adding a pair of oddball cards, but if you have four of the same card, I can't vouch for a solution.

* Someone divided by zero on the BIOS updates. Once I updated the BIOS, my fan kicked into top gear and fell off the grid, so SpeedFan and won't work and BIOS settings mean nothing. I have yet to find an inkling of a solution.

Other Thoughts: Don't update the BIOS unless you absolutely must. The only reason I've seen so far to update is to enable dual-channel functionality. Now that it's stopped working entirely regardless of the patch, the only change I've witnessed as far as BIOS updates go is my fan trying to tell me that 3 + 3 = 8.

It's loud, it's annoying, it's probably not good for the electric bill and it's a potential fire hazard.

3 out of 5 eggsDiscontinued product, not recommended.

Pros: Only MicroATX 775 board with 4 DDR2 slots.

Cons: Board layout leaves something to be desired in SFF applications.

Other Thoughts: My board arrived DOA. No fault of NewEgg's, they handled the RMA with no issues. I chose to take a refund instead of an exchange, as this board has been discontinued by Intel and they do not provide support for it. I would not recommend this board for that reason, but it is still the only MicroATX 775 board with 4 DDR2 slots, if that is something you require.

1 out of 5 eggsI expect better

Pros: If I could have got it running, I'd be able to tell the pros.

Cons: The problems started as soon as I opened the box. No instruction manual, and the driver CD was a Memorex CD recordable, without even a felt pen description on it. OK, they were probably the right drivers, but it doesn't inspire much confidence. After installing the motherboard, all I got were BSOD's, even after taking out all but the essential components and tweaking the BIOS. I had to go to the Intel website to know where to place the front panel wires, good thing I have a laptop. So now I'm returning the motherboard and doing what I should have in the first place, building new rather than trying to replace the motherboard in the old computer. With big names like Intel and Newegg, I expected better. I've always been happy with Newegg, and will use them again, but I'm disappointed this time.

Other Thoughts: If you're in my position of having a fried motherboard on an older computer, save the aggrivation. Spend the extra money and build new rather than replace the motherboard.

4 out of 5 eggsnot bad

Pros: worked good with minimal setup tinkering. used it to replace a powerspec board.
fast shipping, thanks newegg.

Cons: south bridge chipset runs @ 70c way too hot. buy a small video card fan to attach to it. will cool it to 50c, a more acceptable temperature.

Other Thoughts: a pdf manual on the cd would have been nice. works with E4500 cpu
gave 4 eggs because of the southbridge heat problem.
