not reliable board
- Pros: lots of peripheral ports, cute board and inexpensive.
- Cons: Difficult to set up, BIOS was outdated needed to upgrade right out of box, and won't recognize its own "Intel Management engine interface" until you unplug the battery then wait for 20 minutes then restart and set to optimal setting then upgrade BIOS.
When it works, it works beautifully, achieve a Vista Score of 5.4 with a ATI graphic board. Alas, good days are very limited, one week into working condition, the board just simply died, not due to power failure. Asked for a RMA and sent in via UPS, don't know Newegg would honor that or not because it may arrive to their warehouse couple of days late.. There are many other boards to choose from, just don't pick this one...
Micr ATX
- Pros: Decent board for it's size and class. Well suited as a micro ATX and still very good performance and compatability.
- Cons: Southbridge chip runs hotter than most any other board I've seen. Recomend replacing the stock heat sink on that chip.
- Other Thoughts: I don't oc and don't know antbody in there right mind that would oc an Intel board right now. Don't buy this board to oc.
Not An Overclocker!
- Pros: The board has plenty rear usb ports and HD audio w/FO interface is always a plus. Supports up to 8Gs of ram and the chipset runs at acceptable temps.
- Cons: No overclocking!! If you like to taylor your perameters for overclocking, forget it! Also, the HD audio started dropping channels after about 5 months and is now left with only one line out and FO.
- Other Thoughts: Every pot has a bad bean. If not for the cons I mentioned, this board would be solid.
