4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Not sure yet....can't get it set up!

Cons: I have been trying for 2 weeks to get this board set up with SATA RAID and the intel documentation stink!! Still working on it...F6 doesn't work!

Other Thoughts: Better directions on intels site for SATA RAID

5 out of 5 eggsUnz Schnapp!

Pros: Great price, great cost! Just go to their website to find out what the power supply type is for this mobo; and dont be confused as to what to do with the 8-pin CPU power connector.

Cons: None as of yet.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful, wonderful board

Pros: High quality and STABLE board. No problems what-so-ever after flashing the BIOS; currently running RHEL4.

Cons: Mine shipped with a corrupted BIOS. Had to flash it before it would boot from any media.

Wish they had integrated the second serial port rather than using an expansion bracket.

Other Thoughts: The E7210 chipset is the server version of Intels 875 - the gigabit port is connected via CSA. Make sure your PSU is either ATX12v or EPS12v.

Where the h-e-double-hockeysticks are the AMD equivalents?

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Comments: We purchaced this board for use with a high speed (105 MHz x 14b) A2D card, and it seems to be able to keep up with it just fine. It also did well running a 3Ware 9500S-12 RAID controller. Very Stable board.

5 out of 5 eggsgood board

Comments: I used this board in a server that has been running for months without any problems. Intel wants you to buy one of their cases for this board but it's not necessary. The only weird thing about this board is that it has a rubber bumper that goes between the board and the case wall. You have to place the bumper on the wall of the case and it's kinda of hard to know where to put it if you aren't using the intel case (which has it marked). I just decided not to use the bumper and I've had no problems. Also make sure you get a EPS12V power supply for this board or you won't be able to fire this baby up. Oh, and I had to update the BIOS before I could use my 3.0GHz P4.

Otherwise, GREAT BOARD.

5 out of 5 eggsgood board for raid server

Comments: running this with a 3.2E chip, 3Ware 9500S-8 card, and 8 of the Western Digital 250GB SATA-RAID drives, very nice.

I guess the only limitation is the docs on Intel's site, they don't have a thorough list of what chassis you can run this in, Intel's own chassis aren't rackmount. We put it in a SuperMicro 833t case, one 8pin 12v cable extension later, all set.
