Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: Great board. Up until the time the IDCC (Intel Desktop Control Center) application, SPECIFICALLY for this board became useless with the introduction of Windows 7. As per the Intel forums, they claim it was going to be released before or shortly after Windows 7 becomes live, and still no control center.
Cons: Intel shows this application as a intricate tool to be used for overclocking. It's important NewEgg for people to understand if they use Windows 7, they won't be able to use this program.
Pros: None. I expressly bought it to Overclock and I CAN NOT!
Cons: Intel does not have a Windows 7 version of their IDCC.
Other Thoughts: How long has 7 been out in Beta or RC form. Intel did not SEE Windows 7 coming? Why did I buy this motherboard?

SATA ports

Pros: There are a few online reviews about this board and 2 things are always mentioned, Excellent quality and the SATA ports are upright instead of sideways and if you have a long video card, one or two SATA ports will not be usable but what the reviews fail to mention is that intel provides 6 SATA cbles with small profile L connectors that fit perfectly under the long video cards.
Cons: the 2 auxiliary power connectors might be confusing but not needed for current hardware
Other Thoughts: Yes, it overclocks
