5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: Great board with a fast Ethernet port. Has everything you need and is fast with XP booting up completely in less than 25 seconds after installing software like office.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The motherboard only has one RAM slot, would be nice if there were two.

1 out of 5 eggsStay Away!

Pros: Can't think of any

Cons: First one I got, a hole burned through it. The second one worked for 2 days, then quit working. I have built a lot of systems and this is the first one to do this to me. I was VERY surprised, I have never seen an Intel board do this, they are usually pretty sturdy boards. I really wish it would have worked, for the 2 days it did, it was a pretty good board!

5 out of 5 eggsloving it more and more

Pros: extremely low heat and low power! core 1 @ 16~36C and core 2 @ 26~46C it runs cooler than my x58 NB! and my 1366 setup is using Antec 1200OC and 775 setup is using Antec 850 but this bad boy is running off 150W stable with 3 HDD on it

Cons: FOR THE LOVE OF GO D! THIS CAN NOT BE A DISKTOP REPLACEMENT!

0 overclocking ability! i am really not happy with that

could use a extra slot of DDR2 or some more SATA and IDE would be nice =3

i got one garage server runs my house ac and my car stuff and one for my dad use it as HTPC and i just can never get it to run movies that's true 720p or up he end up taking my 775 setup play movies -_-||
in my dad's mind stander Atom 330 w/2G = water cooled 4.5GHz C2Q/e w/8G that's real good math there

Other Thoughts: here is my setup -
Atom 330 w/ BOXD945GCLF2D
2GB DDR2 G.Skill 8800 (over kill i know)
1TB SATA + 250GB x2 IDE // 1.5TB
Athenatech A1019HG.150 Black SECC case w/ 150W PSU

i added a replaced my cpu cooler with a stander thermaltake nb Cu cooler works really well!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC and router/firewall board

Pros: I bought two of these boards; One for a HTPC and the other for use as a router/firewall. The HTPC plays most 720P video flawlessly in Ubuntu 9.04 with ffmpeg-mt compiled from source to use _both_ cores (plus virtual HT cores.) It's very quiet and has been running 24/7 for two months. Very low on power as another Newegger has reported them using only about 43watts at the wall.

Cons: Only has one NIC, one PCI port and two SATA ports. The onboard audio isn't the greatest either. Though I knew all of that when I bought the board so it won't negatively affect my rating.

Other Thoughts: Adding an Audigy2 PCI card for an HTPC application really helps with the audio quality. I hope to be purchasing more of these low power boards to replace various machines on my home and work network that don't require too much processing power.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: Working diligently as my data server without a hiccup, with Windows Server 2008 R2 cranking along. Very small footprint, low power usage and runs very cool

Cons: Wish it had more SATA ports

Other Thoughts: If it had dual gigabit NICs, especially Intel NICs, it would be golden

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: Very powerful for it's size. I wasn't expecting much, but got more than I could have hoped for. Using this as a mini-fileserver for my home.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have not experienced any problems with heat as others have stated here and currently mine would be in the worst possible place for it. Its currently stored inside a vidmar acting as a fileserver. It has not been turned off for over a month. For the first couple weeks I constantly checked the heat, but it was never even close to being warm enough to cause alarm.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly fast

Pros: Great price. Runs Ubuntu Linux. Faster than I thought it would be. A BIG improvement over the VIA C3 I was using before. Intel has a winner with this little chip.

Cons: Integrated support chipset from yesteryear uses a fan. Personally, I don't like fan noise.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a small, test-of-concept, mobile computing project. Overall, the price overcomes having to deal with the noise - and I can always replace the stock fan with a quieter one. Five stars for performance.

4 out of 5 eggsIf you have Ethernet issues in Linux please read!

Pros: Good, solid, cheap server board or email/surfing system.

Cons: The Chipset fans are notorious for early failure.

Other Thoughts: Just a quick update to my previous review. I use mine for a Samba server and I also was experiencing issues where the ethernet port would drop out and then recover about a minute later. I updated the BIOS from the 2008 version it came with to the newest 2009 version and so far this appears to have cleared the issue. Even though I could not find anything in the release notes for the new firmware related to Ethernet it has so far cleared it for me. If this doesn't fix your system then RMA the boad and get a new one. I have four of these now and two of them exibited that behavior. So far they both appear to be fixed after the flash updates.

4 out of 5 eggsFirst Mini ITX Build

Pros: Very easy to install, bios auto detects. I installed this in a Rosewell Mini ITX case, very small case, but unable to use single ide cable to read cd drive and hard drive. low power consumption, requires 20 pin plus 12v 4 pin

Cons: ide cable uncapable of reaching hard drive and disc drive in mini itx case

Other Thoughts: very easy to install and worth the money
