Intel makes your CPU. Why not have them make your motherboard, too? The BOXDP55WB is an LGA1156 board supporting latest IntelCore i7 and Intel Core i5 processors. You can add up to 16GB of DDR3 1333/1066 memory to support the operating system.
The motherboard is designed to support the advanced features that today's power users are looking for. It has an 8 channel audio system and 3 analog audio ports that support Intel High Definition Audio. It also has 8xUSB and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
File sizes are getting larger, especially for audio and video, so we need more secure ways to manage our data. There are 6xSATA ports, so you can hook up plenty of drives. Since you have plenty of available connectors you can use one drive for the OS and software and have extra drives for data.
Pros: Inexpensive no-frills 1156 board. Some may complain that it does not have PS2 ports or support IDE devices, but these are dead technologies at this point and there's really no need to include them.
Cons: It's a little tight to work with. I have to remove my graphics card (Gigabyte GTX 260) in order to add/remove RAM, and the card blocks one of the PCI Express slots, but thankfully that's not something I'll need. I also had to move my hard drive and optical drive from SATA 0 and 1 to SATA 2 and 3 in order to install the card.
This could be due to the fact that the GTX 260 is the biggest graphics card I've ever seen though.
Other Thoughts: CHOOSE YOUR RAM WISELY!
I originally installed 8GB (4 x 2GB) of Crucial 1333 in this board and kept having intermittent rebooting problems. Others have reported similar issues with Crucial RAM being used in motherboards with the P55 chipset.
Kingston is the only brand certified for this board so far by Intel. I swapped the Crucial for comparable ValueRAM and have not had any rebooting issues since.

Pros: Nice board layout, plenty of room for everything. Colored case/jumper hookups make things ALOT easier. Stable operation. Heatsinks on all chipsets (NB/SB) Integrated HD Audio
Cons: SATA ports positioned right underneath video card slot.
Other Thoughts: Nothing particularly standout about this motherboard. It gets the job done, that's about it. No frills.
BIOS is simple and clean. I didn't see any overclocking options, but I usually run my memory and cpu stock anyways.

Pros: Very efficient board, no frills but less to go wrong. Love the BIOS flash from Windows. Ultra fast post + Windows 7 launch
Cons: BIOS that ships with the board needs to be updated to get the NIC to stay connected in Windows 7 (Minor). No optical audio out. No PS2 style keyboard out.
Other Thoughts: Added | i5 750 Windows Exp 7.3 | 4G Mushkin (996768) Windows Exp 7.5 | Sapphire 5670 Windows Exp 7.0 | Intel X25-M 80 Windows Exp 7.4 -- The savings from i5 vs i7 and the Intel mobo allowed me to get the highly rated Intel SSD --- Overall a great system ---

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Cheap (I guess its cheap compared to some others). No legacy support, which I prefer with a new system. Layout works well with my components including my Radeon 5850 (somewhat large card).
Cons: Tried to flash with the most recent BIOS from Intel -- it failed. When the program tries to shut down the PC after automatic BIOS update it just hangs and does not shut down in a timely manner. Eventually my PC shutdown after 20 minutes and booted -- but with an error on POST -- hasn't caused any problems but I'm going to wait a little bit to try it again...
I too have an issue on my Window 7 64bit with the ethernet controller. All drivers work well except for that one -- says I'm missing the driver. Was hoping the BIOS flash I tried would fix it. There is also a download for the LAN controller on Intel's driver page. I'll try that first.
Other Thoughts: I run a i7 860 and Kingston value RAM. I have not been into BIOS yet to do any overclocking and I'm not sure if I even will. My setup is far adequate for anything I throw at it.
The LAN controller driver/BIOS update fail doesn't bother me too much, seeing as I use a Wireless USB dongle. Other than that the system has been running stable for a week now.
