4 out of 5 eggsWorth the effort

Pros: It's as advertised, nice little board. Included sata cords are pretty long considering it's a mini-itx board. Usb 3 rules.

Cons: No hdmi
Bios was two updates behind.

Other Thoughts: After installing your O/S, first things first, check your bios version. If it's 44 or lower, you have two bios upgrades to do. Mine was v44, requiring me to upgrade to 99 and then 11x. Without the bios upgrade, I had headache after headache. Windows update failed repeatedly and with a vengeance, lol. The integrated nic is at least a level 50 disconnector and gained many experience points off my install (it disconnects a lot for you non rpgrs).
AFTER the bios upgrades, all is well and it's running as expected - better than expected, in fact.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: I have purchased 5 of these boards so far. The first one was DOA, but since, all of the other boards have been perfect. Dual graphics, parallel, very nice stuff for a motherboard which we anticipate using for about 20 systems. Support for Ivy Bridge with a BIOS update.

Cons: 1st one was DOA, but the rest have been fine since. Ivy Bridge is supported, but only with a BIOS update. As of 8/31/2012, boards are still being shipped with the 0038 BIOS (0041 or greater required for Ivy Bridge). If you buy one of these with an Ivy Bridge CPU, you will also need an older Intel 1155 CPU to install first to allow you to do the BIOS update.

Other Thoughts: Paired with Intel Ivy Bridge i5-3470's. Very good board so far.

Pros: LPT PORT! I NEED the LPT PORT!! No other motherboards have it, and I need it for special hardware. This board is perfect for my specifications, if you have a problem with the LPT port, BUY ANOTHER BOARD!

Cons: None, this board did everything it was supposed to do and more.

I would give Newegg 1 Egg for taking this item down, their ignorance in providing variety to their customers (ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ORDER IN BULK) is aggravating me right now. Will be ordering this board from Tiger Direct unless Newegg gets their act together. I called Intel PERSONALLY and made sure they weren't discontinuing it, and they have no reason or knowledge of the matter - as far as they are concerned, the board is in full production.

Other Thoughts: This has been my first main issue with Newegg, I hope they read this and it gets posted - extremely aggravating, they are upsetting a loyal customer and will potentially lose more business from me if these things keep happening.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Nice board for the money. One of the higher marks for PassMark for the Celeron G540 cpu. With a Patriot SSD I am booting Win7 in 10 seconds. BIOS is terrible old on the one shipped. New BIOS update brings a ton of new features including FastBoot.

Cons: No serial header shipped with board.

Pros: None

Cons: I ordered this board from Newegg. Upon arrival it did not work. The system would do the random lockup and freeze my network. Ordered new RAM to make sure that it was the board. Then ordered second Motherboard just like this one. It too did the random lockup. At this point I order a different board and sent the second back to Newegg for a refund, didn't send the first one because it had been over 30 days at this point. Today I get the board back from Newegg saying that I had damaged it. This sucks I now have 2 defective boards that I can do nothing with. I DID NOT DAMAGE THIS BOARD OR THE OTHER ONE EITHER.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY THIS BOARD!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Lots of Features in a small package. I used the mpcie slot for wireless and added a sound card on the pcie x1 slot.

Cons: wish it had an HDMI port, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me.

Other Thoughts: The onboard sound is fine, but I am using this comp for audio recording and wanted something a little better.

1 out of 5 eggsmemory compatibility issues

Pros: ... not sure anymore

Cons: originally posted something bad for kingston memory on this board when running 2x4gb chips but it seems that 1333 memory runs at 1066 for it to work, tried 3 different ram 2x4gb kits (1600mhz), they had lockups with crazy graphics.

i finally bought the right memory which i found out because it was in my primary system.

be careful what ram, i'd love to know if i'm the only one having this issue, i've tried 4 boards now.

the same ram worked with 1x4gb chip but 2x4gb would almost instantly lock up in prime95.
tried the vengeance, a kingston and corsair, sorry too lazy to write models.

the PGS312G1333ELK (2 chips im using) run at 1066, friend thinks the other memory chips were binned to run at 1333/1600 and that's why it wouldn't work

BIOS doesn't let you modify or see any ram settings.

Other Thoughts: DDR3 12GB (3x4GB) PC3-10666 (1333MHz) Enhanced Latency (9-9-9-24) Voltage: 1.65V PATRIOT PGS312G1333ELK

1.5 and 1.65v tested to be stable (only a few minutes, too tired!)

that is the kit i bought and used 2x4gb, i have multiple boards so came in handy, paid more than the current sales there are but it was worth it for stability.

5 out of 5 eggsGot one needed feature and one non-needed

Pros: I don't own this board yet, but I'm seriously considering because of the Pro below, y'know.

As near as I can tell, the only socket 1155 mini-ITX board with a PCI express X1 socket rather than an X16 socket. This makes very good sense to me given that the Intel on-board video is supposed to be good enough that you don't need to add on a video board in an X16 socket (unless you're a mondo gamer, which I'm not). I want an X1 socket for a firewire expansion card: it's getting harder to find firewire on PC boards and I've got a high-end audio interface that requires it.

Cons: What the #&(*#$^ are they thinking putting a parallel printer port on this board? Sheesh: what are you going to find to plug into that these days? And why no HDMI video out port?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat miniITX board

Pros: Great board for a compact yet high-performance system. Straight forward configuration. Worked right away.

Cons: Probably limited for gamers. Fan settings are not very well explained, they seem to stay the same at some point.

Other Thoughts: I put this together -
- Lian Li PC-Q09 mini-ITX case
- Intel DH61DL LGA1155 mini motherboard
- Inter i3-2100T processor
- Silverstone NT07-1156 CPU cooler (yes, it is 100% compatible with 1155 motherboards)
- Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB DDR3
- Samsung 470MZ 64GB SSD
