5 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: Boots very fast! Works great. Nice bios layout.

Cons: Needs more PCI slots, but really that's to be expected when you purchase a Micro ATX board.

4 out of 5 eggsJack of all trades; master of none

Pros: Very nice chart that supposed to be affixed to the case explaining where to plug everything in. Can be extended to fill many roles. Also it worked perfectly with my CPU and RAM the first time. Using it as a FreeBSD 9.1 server and everything "just worked".

Cons: No USB 3.0 internal header, no overclocking support, terrible software. Not a good gaming board. It could be an OK gaming board.

Other Thoughts: Good for business use or as a low cost file server. It has two PCI express slots for another disk controller and multiport network card. Not a very bad workstation for software development, either.

1 out of 5 eggs4 out of 8 boards DOA in 10 days

Pros: We were using these boards to build small low-power file servers for Point of Sales equipment. First three we built were rock solid.

Cons: Unfortunately, we got very busy and needed to build 8 file servers on the fly. 4 out of 8 boards arrived DOA. UNACCEPTABLE. 50% non-DOA rate? Is that some kind of joke? Rumor has it that the problem is with poor DVI solder points. DVI jack is made by FOXCONN, I guess they're too busy with the iPod division to put any effort into building the components that built up the business in the first place.

Other Thoughts: Switching to another board, probably not an Intel one. Intel USED to make the best boards...not anymore I guess.

Newegg refuses to do any cross ships which is absolute nonsense. Every single vendor we do business with, except for Newegg does cross ships on defective items. We may be looking for a new parts supplier as well. Spent $6k at Newegg in the last month on components alone and we can't get a cross ship???????

4 out of 5 eggsNice Board

Pros: SATA 3 and 6
USB 3.0
32 Gb RAM Max
RAID 1, 5, 10
E-SATA built in

Cons: No front-panel USB 3.0

Other Thoughts: Works great so far. I was a little worried about getting an Intel board because they're not as well reviewed as some of the competing boards in this range but I wanted an Intel board to match my Intel proc. Booted fine on the first try. I'm not a crazy power user or overclocker so I can't speak to the flexibility of the BIOS. I went into mine but didn't need to change any settings from factory.

My only nitpicky thing is that I would have liked to have 2 PCI ports and 1 PCIE, rather than the other way around. My graphics card takes up the X16 slot and my sound card will fill the PCI so now I only have PCIE slots left. I knew this going in and I'm not planning on adding more cards but it'd be comforting to have another open slot. Thankfully the board has e-SATA built in so I didn't have to move my e-SATA card from my old box.

As other users have stated, it would be nice to have front-panel USB 3.0 headers but it's not a deal breaker.

I was having issues with the on board SPDIF output syncing with my digital mixer. I can't pinpoint that it's an issue with the board, though. It'll be a moot point once I get my sound card running.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome! (Except Sound "dud")

Pros: Sata 6gb/s
USB 3.0
BIOS Update owns with Intel
Runs so, so smooth
Booted on first try no problem
I actually fit an Asus eah 6770 vid card on it

Cons: The on board sound, particularly the front speaker port (green) in the back of the board was DOA. Yes, I updated the drivers, yes speakers were enabled, yes there were sound bars, yes I updated to the latest bios, and YES I spent 2 hrs on the phone with Intel support thinking I may have missed something (normally never do) and the port was defective. Luckily they were 2.1 speakers with a subwoofer that had one connector (green), and they perfectly worked through the front panel. It was for a build so I just through in a 30$ sound card and called it a day. Intel was willing to replace the board, and of course it was within neweggs 30 day policy, but I had already installed windows and a bunch of programs and everything was plugged into the board so I let it go. Board is real good, after being updated to the latest bios, voltage prob's I was hearing here about should clear. If it wasn't for the sound problem it would get a 5. Although the time that cost me it deserved a 3, but the fact that it runs great, will make me leave it at 4. ;)

1 out of 5 eggsNot Worth It

Pros: Solid performer when it works.

Cons: Became unstable after less than six months. No USB 3.0 header...which is completely my fault. I read USB 3.0 and automatically thought that at this point there would be an internal header on the board. Bios is severely lacking.

Other Thoughts: Replacing this thing with a board from a different manufacturer. Hopefully it'll be stable for substantially longer.

5 out of 5 eggsEverything I need

Pros: Has all the ports I need and then some.

Cons: Not sure if really a con but the cutout plate for the ports was a bit difficult to pop in. Likely more of a case problem.

Other Thoughts: Worked right away, as expected. Gives me plenty of space for the few things I have, plus any upgrades I plan to make.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent for the Money

Pros: 1. Full of features
2. Boot on the first try
3. Layout is very easy to find the connectors/pins for the front panel

Cons: 1. Unable to adjust the voltage of the memory.

This was the main reason why I had to return my motherboard. I opted for low voltage RAM (GSkill Sniper 1.25v), and even though the motherboard lists that it can do 1.20 - 1.90v on their website, it didn't allow me to manually adjust it. Other than this, I would have kept the motherboard.

I had to dock an egg for it because it had me frustrated that Intel's website (not NewEgg's fault) would say that you can adjust memory voltage but not actually let you do it. I spent quite some time scratching my head, making sure the BIOS was the correct version and everything. After doing some googling, I realized it's not capable of actually adjusting the voltage to the 1.25v that I was trying to do for my low power RAM.

Other Thoughts: Rig:

Intel G630t
Asrock H77M
ASUS DVD-RW drive
2x 3TB Western Digital Reds
8gb Gskill 1.25v Sniper (only using 4gb for lower power consumption)

1 out of 5 eggsfaulty mobo

Pros: lots of usbs

Cons: not enough fan ports, slow ram speed

Other Thoughts: when i bought it i put all the parts together it worked originally for about 30 minutes and while i was installing the drivers the computer just died. after that the mobo failed to make it to post and it just power cycled. shame i was too lazy to RMA it so now i've had this thing for about 3 months and i don't know what to do with it...

4 out of 5 eggsNice board, but....

Pros: Has more than enough USB ports, great muli-channel HD audio, hooks up to any Tv via HDMI.

Cons: These boards go bad very easily if you don't know what you're doing, known issues with SATA ports.

Other Thoughts: Intel should use more solid capacitors on their boards and they can be more reliable, Biostar uses 100% solid capacitors and their boards are so much better and lasts longer.
