2 out of 5 eggsGood Motherboard, Graphics Died

Pros: Stable motherboard. I've put in all hardware in my build and it powered on with no issues.

1. Intel BOXDH67GDB3
2. Intel Core i5-2500K
3. OCZ Vertex 4

Cons: After 7 months of low hour usage my build in video card died. This motherboard has PCI Express 2.0 x16 extension slot and I cant put in a decent video card.

Other Thoughts: Ive never had issues with Intel products before. Hopefully manufacturer warranty can replace this motherboard. :-/

5 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: Intel NIC, Intel SATA RAID with SATA III. eSATA ports are available to the RAID BIOS. Easy BIOS upgrade. UEFI support. Plenty of USB ports, with USB 3.0 ports. Board seems reliable and gave me no trouble at all.

Cons: If you have a large video card (I have a GTX 560 Ti), you might not be able to remove or add RAM without taking out the card.

The red eSATA port (which functions as a regular internal SATA port) may also be partially blocked by the video card cooling box. A right angle SATA cable should deal with this problem.

There are only two fan headers for case fans, so you'll need to use PSU adapters for any additional fans.

Other Thoughts: I didn't care much about the fact this was a Micro ATX board, just the feature set. I have no expansion cards other than the video card. I might consider adding an audio card later, and there's plenty of room for that. I can't fault them for the cramped space around the x16 slot on a board this small.

The board's build quality is excellent and all the cons were trivial to work around with spare hardware I have lying around. I mention them only for others' benefit in planning if they decide to go with this board.

1 out of 5 eggsSerious Quality Control Concerns

Pros: This seems to be a very nice board and quite small. Great specs for a HTPC.

Cons: I received, from Newegg, a motherboard with bent pins. Over the past 2 months (12/2012 through 2/2013) I have been in contact with Intel's support and they have sent me two more defective boards. The first crashed after being on for a few hours. At this point Intel requested to see both the board and the Core i3 processor I was using. I shipped both back to them, however they only were able to confirm receiving the board. I was sent back a replacement board with another bent pin and without a processor to go with it. I am now working on getting a refund, instead of replacement, for these parts through Intel.

Other Thoughts: If you have this board, and it works, then it is probably great as some of the other reviews indicate. Unfortunately, I have received 3 bad boards in a row, and that is a big concern for me with regard to Intel's QC. Especially, since the last 2 were received directly from Intel support (so wouldn't they check them?). Bottom line: this board looks good, but based on 3 bad ones in a row, I'd say it is a risky purchase.

While the boards themselves have been disappointing, Intel's customer support has been very quick to reply and courteous.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed almost immediately

Pros: 2 out of 3 of these boards worked fine.

Cons: Ordered three of these boards for a project that had to be completed by 1/31/13. One failed in the middle of a Windows 7 Pro update immediately following the OS installation. I narrowed the problem down to the motherboard by substituting parts. Because of deadlines, I ordered a replacement motherboard instead of RMA'ing the failed motherboard. Got tied up on the project and waited past 30 days (READ THE FINE PRINT) so now there's no RMA from Newegg (have to deal with Intel).

Other Thoughts: It's been a long, long time since I've had an Intel motherboard or processor go bad, so I guess, overall, the Intel line is pretty good. I have quite a few computers out in the field built with Intel boards and processors that have been running since 2002 and are still going strong.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Board

Pros: HD video processing ability with i3 on-chip HD 3000 graphics is amazing. Eats HD video for breakfast. Solid board, no issues whatsoever. Video output beautiful. Runs cool and sips power. The fastest system I've ever put together. SATA III and eSata work wonderfully. Have not had a chance yet to use USB 3.0.

Cons: None whatsoever

4 out of 5 eggsFreeNAS

Pros: Works stably with FreeNAS. Intel NIC, USB 3. Legacy free.

Cons: It's not as the lowest possible power use as it could have been.

Other Thoughts: I'm not using this full potential. I barely turn on the video. I don't use audio. Only things I'm using are SATA ports, video (occasionally) and 2 USB. Usually, once it boots, it's running quietly as my NAS server running FreeNAS. It's almost an overkill for FreeNAS, but Intel NIC is I'm after. Firewire, eSATA are bonus when I need them.
It's up and running a couple of months with no trouble.

3 out of 5 eggsHad to return

Pros: Everything I needed for an HTPC Linux setup.

Cons: - Failed to boot after a week of use
- Does not support wake on lan for XBMCbuntu

Other Thoughts: Worked great out of the box for a few days. XBMCbuntu Eden installed flawlessly. After a few days of use the system would not power on anymore. Some trouble shooting and research, found other users with similar issues with this board. Too bad, it seemed to be an almost perfect solution.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful Board

Pros: Absolutely NOTHING.

Cons: I bought 2 of these boards and they were both defective and ended up costing me a lot of money.

The first board would not accept a PCI modem. Upon installing windows it said there was an IRQ issue, so I reinstalled windows a couple times no to avail. Then took the same PCI modem and installed it into the other motherboard I bought (same board) and it worked fine.

The board with the IRQ issues ended up having to be replaced after I had already installed it at a clients office (I was in a crunch), After 2 days of use. So I bought the BOXDH67BLB3 which I initially wanted but was out of stock. Newegg would not refund me because I didn't have the exact box it came in (come on newegg I spend $2000 a month with you).

The board that accepted the PCI modem is now having black screening issues, which are looking like it's leading to being this motherboard again. Upon reading the review that Intel KNOWS there are problems with this board I wish Newegg would have been a little more lenien

Other Thoughts: I would say buying this board is a serious roll of the dice right now. I got 2 bad ones right in a row. I wish newegg would have helped me out a little more with the RMA. I haven't had time to return the other board to Intel but now it looks like I'll be RMA'ing two boards and probably be out some money because of this nightmare board.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for HTPC build!

Pros: Used this motherboard in a new HTPC build I made. I love all the outputs that this board has, it has USB 3.0 and Sata 6, also has an E-SATA port which is nice. HDMI/DVI/Display Port, this thing really is versatile. I coupled this motherboard with an I3 2105 processor w/3000 HD graphics built in to the chip. I love not having to buy a extra video card. I plugged an HDMI cable from the PC to my Stereo Reeiver and get full 1080p graphics from this PC.

I updated the BIOS as well when I got it. SO SIMPLE! Get the bios file from Intel's website, put it on a USB drive, then hit the related F key on your keyboard to flash the bios from the Intel splash screen. Then navigate to your USB flash drive, select the file and hit flash! I mean I don't understand why more motherboard manufacturers don't implement this simple Bios update feature. BYE BYE boot disks/cd's/usb drives!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: What I put in this HTPC:
