2 out of 5 eggsWhat A Nightmare Board!

Pros: When you get one that works, its not a bad motherboard for a simple office computer. This review gets 2 eggs simply because 2 of the boards actually worked.

Cons: When you get one that doesn't work, prepare for a headache in dealing with trying to diagnose & solve the issues and then an even bigger headache in dealing with Intel to try to get them to honor their warranty.

Other Thoughts: I bought 3 of these for a clients small office back in early December of 2012, paired it with a G860, 8GB of G-Skill ram, 1TB WD Blue HD, MSI 430gt & dvd burner. Things went well for about 4.5months then one of the PC's (all configured alike in software as well) began to experience random lockups throughout the day. Its took months to actually nail down the issue (said client only provided limited access to the PC to attempt resolutions) and since it was outside of Neweggs 30 days, we contacted Intel. Intel was initially hesitant to help since the serial number on the board wasn't in their system. It's not there because they apparently discontinued this board in 2011! It was still being sold (and in some places still being sold) for over a year with no one mentioning this was a completely discontinued product. Well now Intel would like the full value of the board as insurance for them to ship a replacement board. Their 'full value'? $150. $150 for a $85 board. Rather than keep the client in this ridiculous dance with Intel, I replaced it with a Gigabyte board & all is now good. But selling a discontinued item without informing the public is just shady IMO, and the way Intel seemed to be making the process intentionally difficult has just put me off to their brand completely.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Decent price

Cons: DOA and seems like a low quality board overall. I would avoid.

Other Thoughts: This is the second time I've have had a problem with an Intel board being DOA.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA - ARGHH!

Pros: None so far.

Cons: DOA - We tried everything to get this thing to work. All the other parts checked out OK on other systems - so for sure the mainboard is the issue.

5 out of 5 eggsFor the price, it's a steal.

Pros: Well, what can I say? It was relatively simple to install, and features virtually anything you need to build a computer with today's parts. The USB 3.0 ports and 6 GB/S SATA ports are great additions. If you're looking to build a great new computer for cheap, this is a decent place to start.

Cons: The only real complaint I have is that it could use another PCI express slot, as this motherboard only has one. Also, a lot of the older connector types for certain hardware (hard drives, CD drives) aren't supported, but there's usually an adapter for that if you absolutely need it.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb

Pros: Easy to install in my HAF 912. It may not be top of the line today, but it is MORE than adequate for how I will use it (work and some gaming). It's a MOBO - I won't wax lyrical about it, but youcan't go wring with this either.

Cons: I can't see a downside
