Delivering the same performance as the DH87MC, the Intel Desktop Board DH87RL provides open-socket flexibility to increase processing performance. DH87RL supports 4th generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3/Celeron processors in an LGA1150 socket. The board features a PCI Express Mini Card connector, PCI Express 3.0, a Dual-channel DDR3 1600 with four DIMMs (32 GB3 maximum), 1.2V to 1.8V memory voltage control, and support for the Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP).
Pros: Runs solid. Tests good with memtest86 and Prime95.
Cons: GUI BIOS is a bit confusing.
Other Thoughts: I use a discrete graphics card so I cannot comment on issues with on-board graphics.

The Haswell Experiment Starts
Pros: I have owned INTEL boards since 2002, This review on this Haswell series show how new CPU's and new Boards can have issues as technology moves faster than drivers can be written. My board was installed with a Intel Core i7-4770 Haswell 3.4GHz CPU and installed with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. -- Note I will buy INTEL boards and CPU's again ! This feedback is meant to help people buying this product.
Cons: After loading the drivers from the disk (provided) windows would give me a desktop failure error and windows would go into recovery mode. First thing I learned with Intel when confronted with weird problems Update the BIOS First, I did this to version FLB8510H.86A for this board, wiped the drive and reloaded windows. Again desktop failure. Now what. Well did a firmware update on the SSD, DVD drive and reloaded again. Still Desktop Failure error. After looking into various threads on INTEL and ASUS who use this INTEL HD graphics (Intel Driver 188.8.131.5265). Still this weird error. I finally got an idea I installed an ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 card on this board once again wiped the drive clean and did a Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit it worked perfectly. The machine was fully stable no more errors no more desktop failures, no blue screens on shut down. The issue is not a bad motherboard or a bad video card its bad drivers from INTEL. I dont have time for INTEL to fix them or for me to open a ticket with NewEgg or Intel so a $99 video card from ASUS got my windows speed up also. All new drivers for board installed and 3 days of hard testing on the unit has it stable and perfect.
Other Thoughts: Until they (Intel) issues an update for the onboard HD video driver I have to use the ASUS video card. For anybody reading this please look on the board look for the AA number and update the BIOS, get the newest drivers for your Windows OS. If you get the weird error for now (July 14th, 2013) use a secondary video card to temporarily fix the error. This issue is no fault of New Egg, but Intel needs to run their R&D Software dev team to write drivers that are stable. I tested the drivers and verified it with windows sfc /scannow command and found the driver failure in this way. I am sure that NewEgg will get a ton of RMA's for this product when its the MFG that is at fault here.
