1 out of 5 eggsCommon DOAs, Discontinued, Nothing but problems

Pros: 4 SATA, PCI-E, The GURU Utility software is pretty cool. Allows you to monitor overclocking, temps etc from the desktop, as well as direct connecting for BIOS updates.

Cons: I paid abou $xxx for this when it first came out over 2(?) years ago. I did a lot of research (motherboard.com etc.) before upgrading to SATA, PCI-E etc. This board got AWESOME reviews...ABIT must have been very careful about the boards they sent to their reviewers. Mine came out of the box with 2 memory slots DOA. I'm still using the board, but after all the money I spent, I never got the opportunity to use paired memory. ABit was a nightmare to try to deal with. I bought the board at a Txxxxxxx outlet store in Miami (should have bought it thru newegg!), and you can't return directly to them. ALSO, this board only has 1 IDE port. This is not something that even occured to me, not a great inconvenience as I was coverting to SATA anyway, but forget using all those old IDE drives you have, unless you buy an USB enclosure or an IDE to SATA converter (they sell them here on NEWEGG for about 15-20 bucks.

Other Thoughts: Buy something else. This is a discontinued product and, I would say, because its JUNK. There are a lot better boards for xx dollars out there.

1 out of 5 eggsNot a good motherboard

Pros: small form factor, easy to work with

Cons: Abit support not good. mobo does not support Prescott processors; no BIOS update available to resolve C-0 stepping incompatibility; add-on cards with SATA or IDE will not work. Have tried all manufacturers.

Other Thoughts: If you want to stick to what's on the motherboard, and not add too much, and you are not using a Prescott chip, this could be a good board. But it is DISCONTINUED. I wonder why.

4 out of 5 eggsDOA but still likin it after RMA

Pros: Very nice board espically with the uguru utillity.

Cons: Arrived DOA, has trouble reading LAN sometimes very odd

Other Thoughts: Was disappointed about it being DOA but newegg to the rescue and they hooked me up wit a new one and they had it updated to v25!, other than the LAN being not read sometimes i love it and its def a plus over the old asus I had.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Lots of features at a good price.

Cons: Abit has discontinued the model, and I can see why. Mine came with POST 83 errors, and the ABIT forums didn't have a solution. Found lots of people with the same problem, and no help. Mine is RMA'd back to ABIT, I'll see what happens when it comes back.

Other Thoughts: Better to go with a current, supported board. I don't know why ABIT discontinued this one, but I wish I'd noticed before buying one for myself.

2 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: Accepts older component transfers from another pc (ie: DDR RAM) to save money but with newer slots for upgrades certain parts (ie: PCI Express for video card)

Cons: Like with all motherboards, it is a complicated piece of equipment and many things can go wrong. BIOS was DOA. Could not save changes to CMOS. When BIOS was flashed fan control became erratic thus improper cooling and alarm would sound immediately.

Other Thoughts: ALERT: Newegg does not deal in RMAs with this item. ABIT is terrible to work with. They will NOT exchange your (broken) NEW motherboard for another NEW one! Buy new, get a refurbished one. Not cool.

2 out of 5 eggsDon't buy it!

Pros: Well written manual

Cons: Mine died on me after a couple of months, it stopped holding its bios settings, and I had a computer tech. guy with a masters in comp. sci. try and fix it to no avail. its been discontinued now anyway...prob cause of issues like this.

Other Thoughts: Abit is still a good company, but they screwed up with this one, i reccomend going with the AW8-MAX, seems to be a decent board.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Lots of BIOS options. 16x PCI

Cons: Confusing bios update, but eventually got it. Certain options do not work correctly until the update.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: uGuru is nice - makes overclocking easy, adequate options in the BIOS for CPU and memory settings, rock solid and stable mobo!

Cons: only one ATA133 plug on the mobo (for the optical drives), so make sure you have only SATA hard drives for this setup

4 out of 5 eggsABIT Rocks

Pros: Great board, true PCI-e 16x support, nice layout and the uGuru OC'ing setup its a nice feature to have. Just make sure whne you get it you flash it to the most recent bios. Mine shipped with 13 and they are up to 25 now.

Cons: 3 PCI-e 1x slots... not sure why there is so many not much support for them yet. Only has 1 IDE so if your loooking to upgrade make sure you got sata HD's. Also had issues with it reading my PC2100 DDR.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This mobo runs like a dream. BIOS is easy to use and overclocking made simpler with the microguru utility.

Cons: Only problem is with p4 LGS s775 630 processors with the EM64T. BIOS does not work...had to order new BIOS chip v24 from ABIT. Now it's fine.

Other Thoughts: I will buy another one again.
