5 out of 5 eggsOld Tech? Hogwash...

Pros: I have two of these boards and they are both working perfectly. Don't let anyone tell you that because the 865 chipset is "old" it is not useful. This board accepts a plethora of processors that are very available. The price can't be beat, and the boards have been trouble-free. Although AGP has been elipsed by PCI-E, there are still tons of AGP boards out there.

Cons: Only one: only two memory slots.

3 out of 5 eggsBe careful!

Pros: Very good for single core CPU’s…

Cons: Very twitchy when using a dual core with a FSB of 800Mhz, received all sorts of OS errors, finally gave up and bought a ASUS board with the same components and it has been working flawlessly.

Other Thoughts: I stared using this board with a Celeron D 346 and it worked great, it’s when I updated the BIOS and switched to a Pentium D 925 when it got twitchy. The motherboard box stated it can use Pentium D 920 and lower BUT Gigabyte’s site says it's compatible with newer Pentium D’s including the Pentium D 925. *shrugs* guess I should have listened to the box.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little board

Pros: A nice little board if you're on a budget. Legacy support for 4 IDE devices...which is rare these days! Made a nice build for my 10 year old daughter...used an old agp card from my sons computer, put it together for a couple Benjamins. Really can't be beat for this price. Will do light gaming and internet with no probs. The easiest build I've ever done...fired right up...did't try to overclock it.

Cons: The Prescot Celeron D I bought runs hot! (Don't all Prescots!)40C at idle.

Other Thoughts: Makes a nifty heater in a cold bedroom!

4 out of 5 eggsGiga-Board

Pros: Its a Gigabyte, Supports Dual Core, Cider Mill, Smithfield, and Presler core. It can over clock, not well but it can.

Cons: Its Micro ATX, does not support C2D or DDR2.

Other Thoughts: there were not alot of cheap boards that support the Intel Pentium D 920, but this does.
