5 out of 5 eggsREALLY NICE!

Pros: Somewhat smaller that a full ATX board, plenty of SATA ports, board is laid out nicely, gobs of functionality, actually comes with a manual and is a dream to setup.

Cons: So far I can't find anything I don't like about this board.

Other Thoughts: This is my first Giga-byte board. I've built about 2 dozen systems in my day and have always been partial to MSI boards, I glad I made the switch to be quite honest. There is a lot here for the money and the quality really shows. I'm not using the onboard video or the sound, but if I was to use this for a home theater system I definity would since the spec's are really good for both. All in all this is a nice quality fully function board. I think that I'll definitely select Giga-byte again in the future.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk

Pros: It looks like it would work well as a HTPC

Cons: GLITCHY!! The video pixilates randomly,
the sound pops for no reason, the internet connection will randomly drop out.

Other Thoughts: I returned this to the company who treated me like an idiot. a 20 day turn around on an RMA that turned into a 'refurbish' that wasn't authorized and this thing still sucks. This is the Last GIGABYTE anything I will ever buy.

2 out of 5 eggsBad

Pros: It Kinda works.

Cons: Looks good on paper, I got 2 DOA's in a row, box's were crushed and cut across the top for all 3 boards I recieved. 3rd board posted but still has issues, I just got tired of being on the phone with gigabyte and newegg pointing fingers at each other. I had to disable a bunch of stuff in the bios and use a nic card, and disable the onboard video.

Other Thoughts: The new egg rep I talked too said that they were sending me open box boards, and that they did not test those items. Is this true someone? Arent open box items things that people have sent back? Shouldnt you test those out before reshipping them to customers?

5 out of 5 eggsGood system board.

Pros: This board is at a great price for an introductory board. The onboard graphics by ATI make for a wonderful starting point. It has dual DVI/VGA outputs onboard, as well as an HDMI output. Everything worked great on install. Gigabit LAN onboard, and all necessary ports (USB2.0, Firewire, PS2) make this board an all-in-one go-ahead.

Made it for a HTPC build, and when I get the new video card from ATI, with the crossfire ready capability -- it will be a beast.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I actually bought a second one of these boards to build a system for my father because of the price and flexibility.

Be advised that you cannot use DVI at the same time as HDMI.

5 out of 5 eggsGood board

Pros: Easy setup, integrated digital and analog video out, good bios interface, plenty of sata and usb connections and colorful.

Cons: Integrated Video can only provide 1 digital and 1 analog out at a time, VGA and DVI or VGA and HDMI. Also, DVI output is advertised as DVI-I but the board that I got had a DVI-D connector so beware.

Other Thoughts: Great board, I will buy again for my next build.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat motherboard

Pros: Easy to setup and works with all of my componets

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I bought this as part of a "TV" computer (my first ground up build) to replace my cable subscription. I don't intend to tweak my system beyond the normal specs but it's nice to know that I will be able to once the system ages. Strong forward compatibility with newer processors and current lower cost options

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: * Inexpensive
* Integrated Graphics (VGA, DVI, & HDMI)
* Lots of usb on-board
* AM2 / AM2+ Support

Cons: * Integrated graphics could be better, but the price makes up for it.
* Has like 12 usb ports on board, but only 4 in back... come on.

Other Thoughts: Have this in a build with:
*Athalon X2 5200 2.7ghz dual core
*8gb of corsair PC/800 ram
*Corsair 400 watt psu
*MSI 256 mb gddr2 nvidia graphics card
* running vista business x64
It flies, the graphics card made more of a difference than i was expecting for the application, and the ram was huge.

5 out of 5 eggsCouldn't have asked for a better board.

Pros: Works like a charm. Easy to setup. With 6 SATA connectors and enough USB ports/expansion slot, I do not think I will be running out of expansion room soon. The audio output is wonderful. CPU used AMD Phenom 8750.

Cons: Had issues with the video inbox drivers when using with MCE, the screen would go black when closing/switching out of MCE, put another graphics card and the problem went away.

This has an ATI Radeon HD 3200 for the graphics card, but could not find this listed in the ATI site and could not get an updated driver.

Other Thoughts: This was my 1st Gigabyte mb, have used ASUS mb before, but was very impressed with the quality. This board rocks!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat For Blu-ray Play Back

Pros: A very easy board to work with.

Cons: Don't waste your time with DDR2 1066. DDR2 800 works fine!
