REALLY NICE!
- Pros: Somewhat smaller that a full ATX board, plenty of SATA ports, board is laid out nicely, gobs of functionality, actually comes with a manual and is a dream to setup.
- Cons: So far I can't find anything I don't like about this board.
- Other Thoughts: This is my first Giga-byte board. I've built about 2 dozen systems in my day and have always been partial to MSI boards, I glad I made the switch to be quite honest. There is a lot here for the money and the quality really shows. I'm not using the onboard video or the sound, but if I was to use this for a home theater system I definity would since the spec's are really good for both. All in all this is a nice quality fully function board. I think that I'll definitely select Giga-byte again in the future.
Piece of Junk
- Pros: It looks like it would work well as a HTPC
- Cons: GLITCHY!! The video pixilates randomly,
the sound pops for no reason, the internet connection will randomly drop out.
- Other Thoughts: I returned this to the company who treated me like an idiot. a 20 day turn around on an RMA that turned into a 'refurbish' that wasn't authorized and this thing still sucks. This is the Last GIGABYTE anything I will ever buy.
Bad
- Pros: It Kinda works.
- Cons: Looks good on paper, I got 2 DOA's in a row, box's were crushed and cut across the top for all 3 boards I recieved. 3rd board posted but still has issues, I just got tired of being on the phone with gigabyte and newegg pointing fingers at each other. I had to disable a bunch of stuff in the bios and use a nic card, and disable the onboard video.
- Other Thoughts: The new egg rep I talked too said that they were sending me open box boards, and that they did not test those items. Is this true someone? Arent open box items things that people have sent back? Shouldnt you test those out before reshipping them to customers?
