4 out of 5 eggsGreat overclocking board

Pros: Great board gave me very little problems but it over clocked very well and was fairly easy to install into a case.

Cons: It's a micro ATX but it does the job, would've gave it 5 eggs but there were some features missing. Good for a budget build.

5 out of 5 eggsG31M-ES2L

Pros: I have been running this motherboard for several years with no problems. I am a student working towards my Masters in IT. I have done so much with this computer that I think most would have just given out. I have ran XP, Vista and W7 as a tri boot until the IDE HD gave out since then I have been running a W7 on a SATA HD with a slave SATA. I would by this board again and again.

Cons: RAM space. limited to 4Gigs of RAM.

3 out of 5 eggs years but not great

Pros: It's lasted 3.5 years

Cons: Well I don't think this motherboard was built well it has finally bit he dust as it won't function properly with the atx12v connector connected. And if you unplug it it seems to start up.

1 out of 5 eggsBad!

Pros: Besides the price....nothing

Cons: Well limited fans, limited sata, limited everything.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my parents to do a small little pc set up for them nothing special they only really surf the web and print things out. Well after having the first hard drive crash with this bios install, Now it's crashing on start up and it seems the mobo is failing! horrible by an Asus!

1 out of 5 eggsNo more gigabyte products - RMA process questionable

Pros: Good motherboards; feature rich

Cons: Gigabyte's reason for RMA denial is sneaky, in my opinion. See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I have owned five Gigabyte motherboards, all purchased here at Newegg. Two of them died: one, the item described on this page and another from a purchase in 2007 (the DS3R). Both times I requested an RMA from Gigabyte, and both times I was denied under a policy that the warranty period begins at manufacture date, not date of sale, and the warranty from manufacture date had expired. So, never mind that you might still be well within your 1 - 3 year warranty period window that you believe began at your purchase date. It is the date that the item was manufactured that counts. Am I the only one who thinks this is shady? Seriously, there is something wrong here. I was willing to casually let this go the first time this happened because I am a very easy going guy that doesn’t get upset easily. So I am writing this brief review to warn others. Good luck if you need an RMA that is outside of Newegg’s 30 return/RMA window. I’m staying away from anything made by Gigabyte.

5 out of 5 eggsBring it back!!

Pros: I've built at least 50 systems with this board over the last couple of years and none have come back yet. I also built my wife's PC with this board and it's just rock solid.

This board it perfect for people that just want something solid to brows the internet, look at pictures, listen to music and watch movies on Windows XP, VIsta 7 and 8 32 and 64 bit and I'll bet it will be fine for future OS's.

Cons: none at all.

Other Thoughts: I wish they would not have discontinued these, I have built at least 15 computers in the last couple of months and this board would have been the perfect board. Now I'm looking to upgrade my daughters PC and this is exactly what I need. I can't find a board at this price that even comes close to this quality.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on Arrival

Pros: None. Didn't have a chance to use it.
Bought it awhile back for back up. Today I had a chance to install it, and it wouldn't turn on or make any beep or post. What a junk. This is my first time Gigabyte experience too.

Cons: Dead. Waste of time and money installing everything, then it wouldn't run. Tried CPU on another board and it worked. So, first time DOA board and it is from Gigabyte.

Other Thoughts: Hate it when this happen. Now I had to wait for RMA, and cost money to ship it back to manufacture. I'm not sure if I should buy another board or RMA this 1 now.

Pros: All of my existing components worked nicely with it, including the CPU and RAM

Cons: The arrangement of the SATA cables and PCI slots could be better.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This motherboard is great and has all the thing that you would want in a motherboard. The gigabyte name is why I purchase it and so far has been working great. Comes with a 3-year warranty.

Cons: None that I can think about.
