Gigabyte has long been a leader in energy-saving motherboards and their GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard continues the trend. This board features 6 gear power switching. As your system needs more power, it gets it, and when the power load goes down, so does the supplied power. This lets you have power when you need it, and save energy and money when you don't.

Based on Intel's P45 Express and ICH10R chipsets, this ATX board is ready to host the latest LGA775 Core 2 Extreme multi-core processors along with Core 2 quad-core, Core 2 Duo, Pentium D and Celeron CPUs. Up to 16GB of DDR2 1366+ can be installed providing increased performance. A pair of PCI-Express 2.0 x16 cards can be mounted for cutting-edge graphic power with support for CrossFireX.

System durability and security are as important as ever. Gigabyte's DualBIOS system has a second BIOS chip on the motherboard for quick and painless recovery from crashes and viruses. Count on Gigabyte's experience and innovation!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have had this board for roughly 3 yrs. I bought it used. I have been running my Q9550 at 3.91 ghz for 2 of those 3 years and the board is still Rock Solid. Paired with a GTX 780 and my 8 GB of GSkill RAM, I don't plan on upgrading for a while yet. This board and setup may not keep up with the new boards and processors, but I can play every game at ultra settings with no lag. That's all I need.

Cons: none. even if an overclock doesn't work this board will still easily let you in the Bios to let you try it again.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Board Ever

Pros: I've been running this board for just over 3 1/2 years. I've never had an issue with it. OC'd a Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 4.05 Ghz , 8Ghz G. Skill RAM and not one hiccup. All ports still work....everything still works! i just upgraded a few months ago to a Core 2 Quad Q9650 and OC'd it to 4.05 Ghz..Still no issues at all. This board is a work horse.

Cons: NONE

5 out of 5 eggs3 years and still running

Pros: I bought this board for its stability and OC ability. I have not been disappointed. Bios has all the features you want to see in an OC mobo. Loaded with usb ports. good mix of expansion slots.
I paired the board with an Intel E5200 2.5ghz Wolfdale and 2GB DDR2 1066 Kingston HyperX dual channel ram. Stuck a Swiftech Apogee 2 on it with a black ice II dual 120 rad and a 120vac pond pump with danger den pump relay. Also installed a Swiftech res. and tied it together with 1/2 ID 3/4 OD heavy wall clear tubing. Im running CAT waterless Red coolant. 27C Idle/29-30C Gaming @ 3.06ghz normal voltage. System temps around 36C ambient 68F - 70F. Runs @ 3.6ghz mild voltage increase with only a few degree difference noticed, but for longevity I keep it @ 3.06ghz ram @ 1066 2.2V

Cons: Not worth loosing an egg but it can be a bit finicky about ram settings. Most likely due to the power requirements of my specific ram @ 2.2v. Not the board really but is an irritating OC issue.

Other Thoughts: I would build the system over again with these parts. The board has been a solid performer.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Hammering Away

Pros: I've been running this board for just over 2 1/2 years. I've never had an issue with it. OC'd an E8400 @ 4 Ghz , G. Skill RAM and not one hiccup. All ports still work....everything still works!

Cons: Zip, nada, none

Other Thoughts: Got one of these for my sons computer a few months after initial purchase. That one has been running flawlessly for just over two years as well. Also has G. Skill RAM in it.
This is probably one of the most stable boards I've ever purchased and I purchased MANY over the years.

5 out of 5 eggsBest mobo I have ever had

Pros: I have been running this board for over 2 years. It's very stable board with lots of SATA connectors. I have this running my Intel Q9550, 8 Gigs of PC 1066 OCZ DDR memory, and a Nvidia GTX 570 humming along OC's to 3.8 Ghz. I love this board and it has allowed to to run BF3 at high settings at around 60 fps.

Cons: None. This is old tech.

Other Thoughts: Even tho this is older tech, it still works very well. If you need an LGA 775 board and you run into this one, don't think about it, buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT MOTHERBOARD!!!!

Pros: Freaking awesome board. I've had mine over 3 years now and have never had a single problem. Was able to OC my Q8400 to 4.25GHZ WOW! IT's been running that way for over a year before that I had an E8400 at 3.66Ghz. This board is awesome, even for its age.

Cons: Can't stick an i7 CPU in it :P

5 out of 5 eggsgreat board!

Pros: Ive had this board for quite some time. Bought here of course. Started with a PentiumD 925 overclocked to 3.5. Then went to a Pentium E2180 overclocked to 3.2. Now using a Q6700 overclocked at 3.6. This board has worked awesome through the years and continues to chug along happily. Cant get much better than this.

Cons: None. Never had a single problem with anything. It doesn't make coffee or go to work for me.

Other Thoughts: Sure its old by todays standards, but its a reliable board thru and thru. If you have some 775 processors layin around and you wanna build a computer as a backup or for someone this is the one to get.
