Cons: Built a new system (third time for this gaming rig) with this mobo and an i7 920. After getting everything in the case and hooked up, plugged it in, lights came on, then nothing. No post, no fans running, nothing. Upon searching the net with this model number, it turns out the motherboard has issues with no boots for i7 920's and 940's. I had even checked the Gigabyte website for compatability issues, and it all seemed ok.
Other Thoughts: Had bought this one after an older mobo for another computer worked so well. Maybe not again.

Excellent MoBo

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Very Configurable, Fast, More options than I know what to do with.
Cons: A tad pricey for me, but not for an enthusiast Mobo. I wish it had more IDE connectors (I have several old HDDs).
Other Thoughts: I purchased this with a Core i7-920 and 12 Gig of RAM and it's given me a solid system that flies. If I was an OCer, this would be a perfect mobo as I can adjust almost every single detail I can think of.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Great board overall. Very Quick, and generally a nice layout overall.
Cons: I'm unable to get the board to recognize the ram I purchased in triple channel, much less anything over 4gb. I'm aware, now, that the RAM isn't in Gigabyte's compatibility list (and is rated 1.65v), but has ANYONE been able to get the following ram working correctly with this board?
CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit : Model TR3X6G1600C9
(12GB total)
Other Thoughts: If anyone can please let me know (including Gigabyte) I would be very grateful as I would like to avoid the RMA...thanks!
