Poor compatibility with many common pieces of hardware.
- Pros: Good price for an i7 compatible board for those that work.
- Cons: Not compatible with OCZ RAM, doesn't work with my ATI Radeon HD 4870. Just a plain faulty board with major compatibility issues.
- Other Thoughts: Would not recommend to anyone. Seriously, just spend the extra money and save yourself the headaches that very likely will occur with this thing. $190 straight down the drain with this one.
- Pros: Worked right out of the box. relatively easy to install with the exception to the audio which took abit to get working but other than that great product for the price.
- Cons: heatsinks seems weak and flimsy.

Drop-in compatibility with Core i7, Triple channel DDR3!, attractive layout, very easy front panel headers, great documentation, easy to use and comprehensive bios, very solid and quality look and feel, IEEE 1394 and 2x USB front panel headers, comes with 4 sata cables 2x with angled ends on one side and 2x straight headed.
This is an exceptional product at a very reasonable price. I was given an $800 budget to build a core i7 workstation and it was between this and A s u s. Both companies do phenomenal work and Gigabyte won the price/performance battle this time.
- Cons: None of these cons is a big deal or detracts in any way from the awesome, dependable product this is. I'm being as picky as I can for the sake of the review.
No e-Sata, only 2 pci-e so no 3-way SLI, 4x memory slots for triple channel architecture, doesn't seem to be good at cleaning my apartment...
- Other Thoughts: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.66 Ghz, 3x 2GB Corsair XMS with the 1600mhz XMProfile, Gigabyte Radeon HD 4670 512MB, 1TB 7200rpm WD HDD, NZXT 600W PSU and NZXT HUSH Mid-ATX silent case. Quiet, powerful. I love it, my girl friend who I build it for loves it, Doesn't even flinch on Half-life 2 (original, lost coast, ep. 1 & 2) on full everything, Bioshock 1080p full everything, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion full everything (except tree/terrain distances). Easily the best computer I've ever built and operated.
