5 out of 5 eggsMotherboard worth having

Pros: Most times there are troubles with new Motherboards. I bought this when it was fairly new, and other than a flash update of the bios, I've not really needed to do more.
It's always had room to fit what I needed and never a problem.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I've used this board for a while now, updated the cpu twice and it's never complained. I"m use to MB's becoming unstable after 2 or 3 years but this has held yup great. I think the caps are as good as Gigabyte says. this machine runs 24 hours a day for 3 years. Sans reboots and upgrades.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Board

Pros: Good value, plenty of USB and SATA connections. good On-board Audio and gigabit ethernet, latter of which saved me a PCI slot when I originally built it. Long-lasting- using it as I type this, was part of this build I did around 3 years ago and has been a solid performer since, which room for expansion both with more drives as well as expanding the memory from 8GB to the Motherboard maximum of 16GB.

Cons: somewhat obsolete (it is 3 years old). Only 2 PCI slots, which could be an issue if you have a nice collection of PCI cards you plan to leverage.

Other Thoughts: 100% satisfied with this board and it's performance over the last 3 years. Stable and reliable, it's been a component I can rely on.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible board

Pros: Supposedly met all my requirements to run Intel quad core extreme type chips for a media PC

Cons: Just didnt work. Didn't turn on. Spent a lot of money taking it to Fris electronics, Best buy geek squad and also sent it back to Gigabyte for repairs but all of them failed to fix whatever defects in this board! Very bad!

1 out of 5 eggs3 GB boards, = 3 dead GB boards

Pros: Good Board if it doesn't arrive DOA it if it will last over a few months.
I usually go with Asus boards, but I've bought 3 Gigabyte boards over the years, 1st one was DOA (bad AGP) second one was plagued but random reboots for no reason.
This one work good for 6 months then I started getting BIOS read errors, after sever re-flashes it work for a few months longer. Now it will not post at all, power flashes off and on 2-3 times per second.

Great Warranty but who has time, it's not worth the wait! Customers will not wait, so you have buy another brand

Cons: They Never last
Board is pretty dated now and probably not worth the hassle of getting a warranty replacement.

Other Thoughts: I've given Gigabyte 3 chances, but there products (motherboards) have failed me every time.

Great Warranty but who has time, it's not worth the wait! Customers will not wait, so you have buy another brand. I think Gigabyte depends on this fact.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: I ordered this MBD 11/4/2009 and installed it with a Intel Pentium E6600 Wolfdale 3.06GHz 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor BX80571E6600. Video card was low end with 512mb memory. I have about 4gigs of Corsair memory. My computer is fast and never any problems because of the MBD. I believe If I had a top grade video card and could max the memory, I could get close to the 5.9 index all my numbers are 5.9 index except the graphics, and the hard drive. The Hard drive is not the best and I get 5.6 on it. I do not game so maybe I can accept the 4.4 for the graphics. You will not be disappointed purchasing if ever this MBD is out for sale again.

Cons: I had trouble putting 8 gigs of memory in. The memory worked but I seemed to encountered problems. I remove 4 gigs in late 2009 or early 2010 so I can not remember what problem I had or why I removed these sticks. Bios boot is somewhat but I do have I do have 4.5tbs with 5 drives on SATA, a TV tuner, a 2/4 port extra SATA card and 2 DVD burners on SATA for the Bio to recon with.

Other Thoughts: I do not overclock. Temps or 39c to 49c.

1 out of 5 eggsWatch Out

Pros: None at all

Cons: I had trouble with this board starting only 2 weeks after I put it in. My computer would not boot up only set there and beep non stop till I manually shut it down. I was told it was a connection problem but after scrutinizing all the connections the problem persist. Now only 3 months after I purchased the board its totally dead and has to be replaced. HOW ABOUT THAT FOR QUALITY!

Other Thoughts: I see Newegg no longer carries this board, hummm I wonder why?

1 out of 5 eggsDOA and Tough to RMA

Pros: Wish I knew

Cons: Bought this to replace an older Gigabyte board that had died. I got this board and then took me awhile to get it installed due to holidays and work. By the time I got it in and found it was DOA outside newegg's timeframe and after spending 8 hours over the course of a week wading through various hold music and emails trying to RMA the stupid board gave up. For the time I wasted I can just buy a new board and will just now buy someone else's motherboard instead since GIGABYTE gave me such terrible service.

4 out of 5 eggsGood little P43 motherboard.

Pros: This gigabyte board is a good little P43 motherboard. It registers the components competently, and works smooth, like in transparent.

Cons: The main drawback on the board is it's chipset, since it is only a p43 chipset. The p45 chipsets run much stronger, and i found one instance, that would allow me to call this p43 board WEAK. I have a 4 port usb hub connected to this board, and it will not boot, with 2 items connected to the usb hub. The board will post, then sit a minute, and return to restart. I must disconnect the usb hub, everytime i need to restart the system, which many applications require to do. So, this weak point in the p43 chipset is a drag, but i prefer the board, to the gigabyte p45 board, cuz p43 is really peaceful.

Other Thoughts: The board runs good, and i am really happy with it. All settings from the factory are set ok, so it is easy to install, and runs fine. I would recommend to get this board. It is a full size ATX board, p43, so it needs a video card, but then, it runs so very fine, compared to, like, g31 or g41 boards. Newegg sells this board, and with a newer revision, so the bios is from 4/22/2010.

5 out of 5 eggsNew Life

Pros: Installed MB attached everything to it. Fired right up. Installed Windows 7 64bit. No problems. Was a little worried that the board i received woould not be the latest revision. There are 3 revisions on this board. I recieved the latest version. The bios version installed at shipping is the latest version.

Cons: When installing the operating system, make sure(if u use usb keyboard and mouse) that usb keyboard and mouse are enabled in the bios. The overclocking software may not be a good idea as it does not really balance the components well.

Other Thoughts: bought this to breath new life into the last piece of an old factory built puter. the cpu, a q6600 go stepping. The factory built systems board would not run 64bit or overclock. well now i have 64bit and i am oced slightly to 2.7 could go higher if i wanted. This is my first build. Not a super computer but i still manage to average 70fps in bfbc2 with the 64bit added and the slight oc
