1 out of 5 eggsTotal waste if you want 1066 with 4 sticks

Pros: I know I'll never purchase or recommend another Gigabyte mobo ever in the future. Asus will be my future motherboard purchases as they provide documentation on these sort of things prior to placing them out on the market.

Cons: No documentation available until years after of having the motherboard. Just recently after research on this board [in search of replacing it because all of the lock ups I've had] do I realize that Dual Channel is NOT available using any AM/AM2+. I've had a 9950BE since Dec 2010, and will continue to use this board for now with my ram at 800mhz. Thanks a million Gigabyte!

Other Thoughts: Took me years of my computer just randomly locking up to realize why my PC had so many random lock-ups in games and just doing normal tasks.
BTW, this is my very first review on NewEgg. Its strange how most people only report negative reviews, right?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy setup and installation. I mated this with an AMD Phenom II Quad 4 3.2 GHz processor and 8G of RAM. Booted first time. No issue. Lightning fast.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I have never had a problem with any Gigabyte MB. A system I built back in 03 is still running strong.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast, responsive, durable, tons of ports and configuration options.

Cons: Positioning of SATA ports is awkward.

Other Thoughts: Works beautifully with Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition. Didn't use the onboard video, but otherwise everything works great. Tested two AM3 processors after the fact, both boot right up without any bios updates or anything.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MB

Pros: Booted up straight away without any significant problems. Very stable and great support from Gigabyte.

Cons: Would only recognize my Phenom II 920 properly after a bios update. Also my memory was initially set to run at 400 Mhz had to force it to run at 533. Neither issue caused the computer not to boot, so no big deal.

Other Thoughts: It would be very helpful if all the voltage settings in the bios would have the current voltage next to them.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works.

Pros: Pros are pretty simple...fairly high performance, not terribly expensive. I got it because I didn't need dual 2.0 x16, and I wanted a 9950 Phenom. The board layout is fine; it actually looks kinda cool.

Cons: The first board shipped was bad. No problems posting, but it couldn't boot to save its life, across multiple HDs, OSs, etc. Second one seems fine.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg was, of course, excellent w/ the RMA & the turn-around time. I think products seem at least a single egg better just because of how well NewEgg runs their business.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: Great Motherboard. Booted up first time with zero problems. Set up Bios and everything was smooth.

Cons: I did have to change the DDR speed to 1066, it only reads 800mhz. But I wouldn't really call that a con.

Other Thoughts: System, AMD 3.2 quad core, GTX 9800 video card, velociraptor HDD. 8 gig 1066 RAM. Great machine runs smooth as silk with Windows 7 64 bit RTM copy.
