5 out of 5 eggsVery WonderFull Board

Pros: I purchased this board around september of 2009 with a Phenom II x4 920 cpu and i still use it to play Arma 3.
I run this thing all day most everyday mostly gaming and never a problem. very solid constuction has been in and out of 5 different cases since i first pruchased it. Last longer than its lifetime.

Cons: Not DDR3 or AM3+ compatible

Other Thoughts: I am writing this review even though they do not sell it anymore so people can see just how good gigabyte can be. Very Happy With my Purchse, and im the one who always has buyer's remorse, Not this time though.

4 out of 5 eggsMy Motherboard

Pros: I've owned this motherboard since Apiril 2009. This motherboard is really good, I've hadn't had a problem with it.

Cons: I've been having blue screens for 2 years already. I'm not an expert on computers but my guess is that i don't have enough fans on my case...

Other Thoughts: My Pairs (Since 2009):
- This Motherboard
- AMD Phenom II X4 Quad-Core 2.3Ghz
- G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB)
- XFX GTS 250 1GB
- 500W Powersupply

5 out of 5 eggsawesome mobo

Pros: i ordered this mobo on 6/2/2009 and it's been running strong ever since. a lot of it was for gaming (cs, css, tf2, killing floor, bf3, etc). so far i've had it through 2 builds. it has never given me much of a problem. i still have the original battery in it. a little over 4 years later and its still tickin!

Cons: none really.

Other Thoughts: the manual that came with it was easy to follow and very informative.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong

Pros: What can I say, I've had this board since Sep 2009. Its been running non-stop about 75-80% of that time, with no problems whatsoever.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I am currently running a AMD B93 overclocked to 3.2ghz with absolutely no problems whatsoever. I'll certainly be sticking with Gigabyte when I build my new system next month.

5 out of 5 eggs3+ Years and going strong

Pros: I've been using this board with AMD Phenom II X2 550. I was able to unlock the other 2 cores and had a quad core for $100. The motherboard is going strong. I've had it since June 2009.

Cons: It recognized my 1066 MHz memory as 800 MHz. No big deal.

5 out of 5 eggsHas worked well for me

Pros: Rock solid functioning during almost three years now (May 2009). Lots of flexibility: handled upgrade to a Phenom II X3 (unlocked to X4) very well, as well as just recently to passive-cooled Kingwin PSU and Sapphire 7750 Ultimate GPU. Will even take some X6's.

Cons: Gigabyte designers seem to have an endemic problem with header placement, sticking most of them (SATA, fans, etc.) at the edges in awkward places and angles, where there's lots of conflict with drives, cards and other cables. Users of their more advanced boards report the same issue. This board could have also used a third system fan header.

Other Thoughts: The solidness of this board is reflected in the ratings here: 75% 5's and only 5% 1's. How many boards can you find with those kinds of numbers? I'm currently working on a switch over to the Intel side, i5 or i7, to pick up more speed now and for the long run, but that's not because this board is sluggish or in any other way a problem.

2 out of 5 eggsNOT SO GREAT

Pros: * Works with Phenom
* Lasted more than 1 year
* Good tweaking and BIOS

Cons: * Crashed - no video signal
* PCI-E slots died today after almost 3 years.
* no video signal in either PCI-E slot.
* NO on board graphics so if the slots go the board is useless.

Other Thoughts: Expected a motherboard to last more than 3 years. Purchased on new egg and very disappointed in GIGABYTE. I have purchase a lot of GIGABYTE from newegg over the years and now I will purchase elsewhere. I will not purchase anything more from GIGABYTE.
