4 out of 5 eggsWorked good

Pros: Got this board in 2009 overall ran well with MS-Vista and Windows 7 business. What ever hardware I put in worked well

Cons: Had a BIOS problem at first and the system would just stop, flashing to a new version fixed the problem
Last problem, stop seeing drives.
Before that happened any USB flash memory did not appear. when that started I could not open the drives to access the files. At that time I could no longer get to the BIOS to check settings.

Other Thoughts: Just to confirm the problem was not in the OS I plugged the hard drive with vista business in that was working perfectly, this took a very long time to boot, drivers were not working properly still no access to the BIOS.

The only thing left was the motherboard
I did have it for almost 5 years so I guess I got my moneys worth out of it
My plan was to retire the system rather than rebuild.

I purchased a GA-970A-UD3 to replace it, all from New Egg.
I hope I get more than 5 years out of the new board.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat BM

Pros: Solid board. I have had this for 4 years and have had no problems.

Cons: The RAM slots are a bit close to the CPU so if you have a large cooler you need to have low profile RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsHas been a great board

Pros: Good price and has been a stable performer

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have posted reviews on this board before but I have now owned this for 4 years come July 2013. not so much as a blip out of it. never had any failures out of this board. even minor problems are unheard of with this board.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: it does the job

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: I WAS SO WORRIED READING ALL OF THESE REVIEWS. I had this board for a year+ and it was unused and I thought I was going to cry. finally got this sucker in a system not too long ago and now with everything going it works great. was a little confused for some plugs on the psu but it was remedied by some googling.

everything's working fine; had a slight issue with it not reading one of my drives but it turned out to be the sata cable that came WITH the board. I had another handy so it was no problem!

Pros: Worked Great for over a year.

Cons: Turned computer off to go to class...came back to a computer that would not boot. Check every part turns out the motherboard was fried.

Other Thoughts: Been a loyal gigabyte costumer...but i don't think i will take my chances again now i have to get a new motherboard shipped to my house...and hope that i will be able to still access my files...I might have to redo my capstone project now.
