Pros: ATI 4200 is great, but North Bridge get very hot @ normal operation.
Cons: 1. when windows is shutdown the keyboard Num-lock LED stay on? the only way to switch off the LED/light is to pull out power supply plug. 2. the boot drive sometime change it self , even i try to select boot drive from "hard drive boot priority selection many times on the BIOS?
Other Thoughts: has everything you need in motherboard.

Rating: 4/5Good inexpensive board
Pros: Very good motherboard. Had no trouble installing. Booted right up and is working great. Seems to be of very good build quality. RAM - Patriot Viper 4GB(2X2GB) DDR2/800 PVS24G6400LLK CPU - AMD Athlon II X4 CPU 2.6 GHZ Quad X4 620 Video - XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 512 Alpha Dog Edition
Cons: I installed XP Pro and tried to upgrade to Windows 7 and it would not upgrade. Had to revert back to XP-Pro after several tries. There is a problem with this board and Win 7.
Other Thoughts: There is an AHCI setting for SATA drive which you are asked to select Yes or No at bootup. Read that this setting causes problems. Also depending on where you plug in RAM it is ganged or unganged. If you plug RAM into first two slots it is unganged. Don't know which is better

Rating: 5/5Better than the Rest
Pros: Every feature the board advertises works flawlessley and powerfully. I've worked with enough system builds to know that unanticipated setbacks should be expected. I have had several issues with the contstruction of my HTPC but none were related to this motherboard, it's a real load off my mind not to have to doubt the motherboard while I'm troubleshooting everything else.
Cons: I couldn't get the CrossfireX feature to work with a HD4350. But I suppose that should be expected, it's only advertised to work with HD3xxx and HD2xxx series video cards anyhow.

Rating: 3/5A Solid Mobo
Pros: It is durable, due to the extra copper within the PCB, the dual-bios function is really nice. I got this Mobo for the firewire and e-sata connections. I'm currently using it in a tri-boot Win7,Ubuntu, Snow Leopard system, and the motherboard offers the ports and flexibility for my OSX Final Cut editing setup, and Windows Gaming setup. SPDIF input/output is also a plus!
Cons: You will be unable to use the onboard video chipset in a hybrid crossfire setup with the ATI 3000, 4000 and 5000 series PCI cards. This is not a well known fact, and the AMD/ATI website has very little documentation relating to the incompatibility issues of the hybrid-crossfire setups that their chip-sets can supposedly perform. Minus two eggs for the lack of compatibility documentation on ATI & Gigabytes part.

Rating: 5/5nice little motherboard
Pros: Was easy to build a new system with this board. No problems. Unlocked the fourth core on an Athlon II x3 435 and the system has been completely stable at stock speeds.
Cons: Only one PS/2 input, so make sure you don't need two for your mouse and keyboard.
Other Thoughts: Replaced my mom's Athlon 2100+ system with the system below and I am very happy with it overall. It is virtually silent, but can handle a little gaming when I visit.

Loving This Board

Rating: 5/5VERSATILE QUALITY BOARD
Pros: - Budget board with GIGABYTE quality, got this for $65-70 on Black Friday sale last year. - Solid 2 Oz copper and 8-pin CPU connecter, which gives me the option to use a powerful CPU and OC it for gaming or other horse power usage like photo /video editting. - Has 5 SATA headders on two separate controllers - Dual BIOS that protects from BIOS corruption - The Radeon HD 4200 which is still better than Intel's current onboard graphics built-into i3 or i5 graphics. - 1 eSATA port on the back. - Knowledgable and patient GIGABYTE reps that speak understandable English. The list goes on.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Other Thoughts: About 9 months ago, I had some DDR2 667 & slower RAM laying around & decided to make an HTPCish using this board. I had to boot with one set of dual channel RAM bur the first Windows installation but ould add all RAM I had later. Running the Athlon II X2 240 Regor 2.8GHz 24/7 on this board. The board has 5 SATA headders. I have the first 4 set to AHCI in order to connect some of them to an eSATA bracket and use eSATA external storage drives. The controller handles hot swapping very well. And the 5th one is IDE for the blu-ray player as you can't boot from an optical drive for Windows reinstallation etc when the headder is set to AHCI. The Radeon is hooked up to one sub 1080p computer monitor by DVI and a 1080p TV via HDMI. The onboard Realtek ALC889A allows Stereo Mix for recording system sound - good for recording songs off YouTube. I may utilize the 8 pin CPU connector when AMD put out a hexacore and turn this into a video edit machine. This is going to last me!

Rating: 5/5Everything works 6-core
Pros: Worked right out of the box. Threw the 2.8Ghz 6 core into it, and booted right up. Compatible with many CPUs. and DDR2 ram.
Cons: System seems to hesitate. Not sure why. Like my old C2Duo would process images about 1 per sec. This one does it faster, but in bursts. Fast...pause... fast pause... weird. But it does get the files processed faster. Maybe it's my ram? Maybe the 6 cores want/like DDR3. Very bad SATA placement. A long video card will render at least 2-3 ports unacceptable. Hard not to knock it an egg for this, but maybe it's really meant to have it's HDMI port used, and not really aimed at people with large video cards.
Other Thoughts: My core 2 duo setup was blue screen when I told it to batch process 500-1000 25MB raw images. Couldn't narrow it down to anything other than mobo and cpu. So I went with AMD for the first time in my life. This board acts just like the intel ones, so it was easy to make the switch. Lots of options for this board, just make sure you don't have a long video card as I could only get to 3 SATA ports. booo :(
