5 out of 5 eggsGIGABYTE never fails

Pros: -Solid construction

-CPU support up to AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4GHz
-16GB max. 1066MHz DDR2 RAM
-12 USB 2.0 ports (6 rear panel / 6 on-board headers)
-PCI-E 2.0 (1 PCI-E x1 / 1 PCI-E x16 / 2 PCI)
-1Gb/s on-board Ethernet
-6 port on-board HD Audio
-1 digital audio port (optical)

bought this board in feb. 2010--wrote this review sept. 2013...still running strong w/ a few upgrades along the way.

Cons: LAN port died summer 2011

Other Thoughts: Because this board has been so good to me, I always choose GIGABYTE boards when building PCs for friends and clients, regardless of the faulty LAN port, which I replaced with an Intel PCI-E x1 Gigabit LAN card. On-board XGA is fine for the average user but 3D performance leaves much to be desired.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Rocking three years later

Pros: Had this as a WHS, on 24/7, then converted to a Windows HTPC, first Windows 7 now 8. Keeps on rocking without flaw. I am a confirmed Gigabyte fan for AMD motherboards.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: A lot of the PC stuff out there fails if you use it heavy, this is not the case with my Gigabyte motherboards, including this one.

5 out of 5 eggsIt has lasted the tests of time.

Pros: Never had an issue with it. Overclocks like a champ. Keeps good temps.

Cons: I wish AM3+ didn't have added pins, so that this would gain compatibility. (No cons)

Other Thoughts: Bought it in 2009 with a Phenom II X2 and an HD4850 and 4GB of RAM. Here we are 4 years later, same board, but with an X4 960T running at 4GHz, an HD7870 and 8GB of RAM, and it runs like a champ. Great board!

5 out of 5 eggsHTPC video processor

Pros: Been running since 12/2010. Plugged into 58" DLP Mitsubishi with HDMI out. Have VCR connected to a video capture card and have processed over 60 VHS tapes to DVD with this computer with a Grex decoder to remove macrovision. Have Win 7 running on 58" screen. Amazing.

Cons: Can't use DDR3 mem.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong @ 4years!

Pros: This board has been running Win7-64 bit with a Phenom II X4 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a 2GB video board almost 24/7 since March/2009. I've built it's 2013 replacment, but haven't had the heart (or breakdown) necessary to take it offline. The only thing making it obsolete is the DDR2 ram.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I'm parting it out soon to make a hand-me-down system for my brother to replace his Windows ME system. He'll think he's died and gone to heaven!

2 out of 5 eggsGigabyte gets an F

Pros: Worked fine for 3 years 2 months

Cons: Crapped out 2 months out of warranty
(3 years (ITX and Special Promo models may differ) This happened once before to me with a Ford car and I have not bought another one since. CPU fan will not spin up, CPU tested fine.

Other Thoughts: I used Abit many years up to 10 years and thought I would try a Gigabyte. From now on its Asus or ASrock

5 out of 5 eggs3 years of quality.

Pros: EasyTune, Gigabyte support, Socket compatibility, Small, reliable, energy efficient... good range of slots- SATA. And surprisingly powerful onboard graphics. This board was ahead of the curve when it came out.

This board is like a little tank. It's just well put together. It won't shatter if you get a little rough with it, and the chips

And this board is loaded with features for overclocking, and Black Edition AMD CPUs.

Cons: Micro ATX is a little different in layout than most ATX boards. But it's hardly difficult to figure out. The only downside to all of this is that

Other Thoughts: I have had this board in my rig for 3 years. It is currently underpowered with a 2.4ghz Dual core processor with CPU fan, 4gb of DDR2 800 RAM, 1 DVD-RW combo drive, all with a 450w PSU running 3 case fans. I have Windows 7 x64 ultimate, and this thing will actually run WoW, LoL, and a lot of HD media.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME BUDGET BOARD

Pros: The bios is very easy to understand for a first time overclocker. I was able to get a nice stable 700Mhz overclock easily.

Cons: Outdated nowadays, but still very applicable for budget builds without high end gaming in mind.
