1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work

Pros: None at this point as the mobo is not working

Cons: MOBO suddenly stopped working. It does not either post or beep. It is not the power supply's problem as fans/HDD/DVD-RW run fine. And, swapping with another power yields the same result - no post. So, I believe it is the motherboard that has the issue.

Other Thoughts: I have been happy with gigabyte products, but it seems to be the time to reconsider my loyalty.

1 out of 5 eggsBad - avoid

Pros: Has a DVI output on the motherboard.

Cons: Hard to set up. Worst motherboard I have ever worked with and I've worked with dozens. Took many hours to get running initially. Died in less than a year. Gigabyte did send a replacement under warranty, but when I put the hard drive in, it wouldn't boot. I put the hard drive in an Asus motherboard system and it booted with no setup changes. This Gigabyte MB is a piece of junk.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Easy to set up, works great. I run Windows 7 64 with no problems. I recently upgraded to a nice video card and it work without a hitch.

Cons: CPU fan went out after around 9 months. Bout a stock replacement 6 months ago and its still keeping it around 30 all the time...its great.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this one for sure.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!

Pros: Runs really well, great onboard video card that doesnt seem to sputter or lack power like alot o other onboard video cards, i was able to leave my store bought video card out. i never had any issues with booting. I am running a quad core amd with 4 gigs ram and windows 7 64bit, runs beautiully. Gpu went out within 9months but i did receive great customer service from gigabyte. Quik response and ready to take care o my issue.. the customer service alone is worth stayin with gigabyte.. i had run arounds with several other companies. this company will make u happy customer no matter what

Cons: the gpu seems to not run as cool as it should or was intended to, over heated easily in a well vented case with more than enough fans. i got this board on special or 69.99... worth it, but i wouldnt pay the 84.99 original price 4 it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: Board runs great, have an old school AMD anthlon 64 x2 3.2 dual core in it with 4 gigs of ram and a Nvidia 9800GT. I've had the board since march and not an issue quick install and have not had a problem since.

Cons: Non

Other Thoughts: Go replacement board if you have an older computer but can't afford to upgrade it.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great specs and price, worked great @ first.

Cons: I have near constant BSOD/random restart problems. I have eliminated all other components as possible suspects. I still love gigabyte, but they may have rushed this one out.

4 out of 5 eggs@jmang - ground yourself when plugging in front usb

Pros: I can't rember how much i paid for this board, but it i thought it was a good price. It gets the job done for now...

Cons: The rebooting issue i talk about in the "other thoughts" section below. I didn't necessarily think it was the motherboard until i read someone else's post (jmang) with the same problem (the way i work around it is explained below). Feel free to correct me if i am wrong about this. Could it be the case? Or something i didn't plug in correctly? Everything else works great... (my case is a Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced RC-932-KKN5-GP Black full tower)

Other Thoughts: I noticed someone else (jmang) posted a comment about random reboots when plugging in usb devices to the front panel usb jacks. I had this same problem, and if I ground myself on some metal on the computer case before i plug in the usb device, everything is fine. I figured it out because one time i went to plug a usb thumb drive in and i just grazed the outer metal usb connector and the computer rebooted immediately. Hope this helps someone.

1 out of 5 eggsgigabyte grief

Pros: ran fine for 3 months

Cons: developed sudden power supply shutoff problem

Other Thoughts: not sure what the so-called gigabyte warranty is good for, other than
you pay to send it in and they just send it back to you. complaining
about a sudden power supply shutoff problem which developed after 3
months (on a GA-MA785-GM motherboard), 100% repeatable within 5
minutes booted to the bios setup pc health monitor screen, they just
returned it as passing their tests. replaced it with an ASUS
motherboard (M4A78LT) and it's been running fine (prime95 benchmark
for 3 weeks).
